Location - right on the beach, amazing views, close to airport not a long transfer at all Hotel room - good size, beautifully appointed, one of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in Hotel lobby - smelt divine, cool vibes & decor Staff - reception staff a little bit stiff/formal and not particularly friendly Bar staff at the pool - brilliant/fun (one day they did this hilarious happy hour dance round the pool - made us laugh - totally bonkers but brilliant!). DJ's in the afternoons playing great tunes, really good! Pool staff - one lady was quite rude tbh I asked her if we could sit by the pool before the 'opening time' and she said no despite several other people already sat with their towels! Pools: Hythe has kids only pool/area and adult only pool (was not obvious which pool was which as Mondrian pool is a separate main/family pool). Adult pool policy - not adhered to at Hythe tbh, kids in it every day One of the Pool managers did speak to a parent about it (but he ignored it) so they did try at least once to manage this but it was a shame as there were 2 other pools for kids to use. The cleanliness around the pools was lacking I must be honest, it didn't seem like they cleaned after hours as there was always stuff kicking about the floor between the sun loungers. Mondrian pool - tiles around the pool SHOCKING all broken and chipped, looked like a rough council run pool (in fact I don't even think local pools in the UK are that bad) couple of pics in the review of this. Hopefully as this was last August (2024) they may have fixed this for the summer season of 2025! Towels - free towels but you have to use the right hotel towel for the right pool (some kind of strange aesthetic going on and seemed a bit bonkers but rules are rules!). Food - very good at the hotel, breakfast choices lovely and at Mondrian you are served to your table and choose from a menu which I liked. We could use Hythe for breakfast too which was more low key/buffet (but excellent) Day of departure I asked if there was a room to use for post-pool pre-airport, the rather snotty receptionist said 'no, you can use the toilets' (no shower available) for a 5* hotel I was not impressed to be honest. Stayed in a similar hotel in Portugal who also didn't have a room to use but they had lovely pool side showers etc. Personally, I would stay in Hythe rather than Mondrian if you can get a better deal as I'm not sure that paying for Mondrian was worth it although it IS a nice hotel but just some sticking points for me given the cost and star rating... The resort is lovely, some really great restaurants. Also, top tip...there is a Ferry which leaves directly outside the hotel (from the bay) to Formentera which is a brilliant day out (note: take cash for sunbeds/parasols or you risk burning to a crisp!). Also take a picnic as the main beach we went to only had one beach bar but it was SO expensive - not sarnies/chips but kind of fancy vibes. Further along was another bar/pizza place but totally rammed. There are several beaches here and I can't remember where we were at but either way I'd just go prepared with water/snacks and cash.

😀Beautiful hotel, stunning views, clean, lovely decor, lovely staff, room was fabulous. Sun terraces great, pools good, food was ok. 🤨 Electric air fresheners took my breath away trying to mask a drainage problem. Music at the pool all day was annoying. The lighting in the public toilet areas was dreadful.

Hotel is in a beautiful quiet bay. What is not mentioned is The Mondrian pump loud pulsating music around the pool from 10am to 8pm daily you cannot chat/read in any pool area due to noise. Music heard all over the bay. We have no clear idea how the town council of Cala Llonga allows this to happen. Most hotel guests de-camp to beach at a cost of 21 Euros daily or pay the ferry costs. We met young couples with babies in tears at the noise everywhere! It was exhausting and quite an effect on ones mental health just to even stay for the week. Please take note the sea view balconies are white glass which are also quite high so you can only see the sea when standing up! We asked the staff several times can the music be turned down but they advised they are not allowed to do this by the management. The management is not visible in this hotel at all so you have no idea what their name even is. Apart from the appalling management the hotel staff are lovely especially the concierge. The hotel is nicely decorated with plenty of insta shots to be had. But there is zero atmosphere as everyone trying to get away from the constant noise so all restaurants in hotel quite empty.
