We arrived at Mosay Kos All Suite Hotel just after midnight, on the day it officially opened its doors. The reception staff were welcoming and warm, handling the check-in smoothly despite the late hour. We were then greeted by an attendant who helped with our luggage and escorted us to our room. He was exceptionally friendly and spoke near-fluent English - possibly the clearest we’ve encountered during our time in Greece. During the short walk to our suite, he mentioned that his wife was from Yorkshire, which made for a brief but charming connection. Waiting for us in the room was a thoughtful late-night arrangement: ham and cheese baguettes, a few small desserts, and a fully stocked mini fridge. The suite itself was excellent, though it turned out not to be the one we’d booked via TUI. That issue was on the tour operator’s end, not the hotel’s. We raised it with the reception team the next morning, and later that day we were upgraded, at no extra cost, to the suite we originally booked: a deluxe beachfront room with a private pool. It was a generous and professional resolution, particularly given the price difference. The new suite is stunning - modern, minimalist, and just steps from the sea. While the pool hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival, a quick call to reception had the issue resolved within minutes, with a clear and polite explanation that the room had just been prepared. Given that the hotel had literally just opened, these small oversights are understandable - and, more importantly, they’ve been dealt with quickly and courteously. Breakfast is good, if a little standard, but the lunch offering is a standout. Dishes like the power bowl are fresh and well-executed, and pricing is fair across the board (€8–€14 for most mains, €5 for beer, and €10–€14 for cocktails). Service across the property has been a real highlight. At the pool bar, one young staff member has stood out for his attentiveness - nothing is too much trouble, and he consistently delivers warm, professional service even when dealing with the inevitable opening-week limitations. At the beach bar, another bartender has made a distinct impression. He clearly approaches his work with a mixologist’s mindset - definitely a professional. I’ve given him loose cocktail ideas (“something light, no vodka”) and he’s delivered beautifully composed drinks infused with local herbs and flavors. He’s passionate about the drinks he makes, explaining his choices in detail and following up to ensure we enjoyed them - hospitality at its most engaging. It’s been relatively quiet these first few days. We understand some early guests relocated, reportedly due to parts of the hotel not being fully completed. That said, we’ve found the property more or less operational. Minor snags have been present, but nothing unexpected for a hotel literally in its first week, and staff have been proactive and responsive in addressing them. One point to note: the buffet restaurant isn’t open yet. We had booked half board, but the hotel quickly amended our booking to bed and breakfast and advised us to follow up with TUI for the refund. Again, it was handled with clarity and without friction. There are also excellent restaurants less than five minutes’ walk away, so this hasn’t been an inconvenience. Finally, as one of the hotel’s first 20 guests, we were given a complimentary massage voucher - a nice gesture that reflects a genuine effort to offer early guests something extra. It is clear that Mosay Kos All Suites has all the makings of a leading luxury resort: striking design, a beachfront setting, excellent food, and a standout team. The hotel is still finding its rhythm, but the attentive and solution-focused staff make that process feel smooth and reassuring. We look forward to seeing how it develops over the coming days and plan to come back for a full review at the end of the week.
