Amphora

This hotel is perfectly situated across the road from the stoney beach. Staff are helpful and they kindly toasted me some.gluten free bread every morning. It's a €6 uber into the centre of Split so easy to go sightseeing.

Hotel Amphora was a beautiful hotel and in a great location. This area is supposedly brand new and there is still some construction going on across the street by the beach, but wasn’t really an issue. The pool was fantastic. We did have issues with our AC working and the staff kindly swapped rooms for us and removed our parking charges for the inconvenience.

This hotel is somewhat unfinished. The coastline near the hotel will one day be a beautiful park, I'm sure, but it still has major unfinished portions. In the hotel itself, the top floor terrace was not functional, and one of the restaurants was still under construction. There is some free parking, and I was lucky to get one of two last places a short walk from the hotel. Otherwise, you pay EUR20 per day in a nearby garage. Breakfast offered a great deal of choices, and the restaurant has sufficient capacity for that meal. However, as a dining venue later in the day, it lacks ambiance. WiFi was OK but not consistently good. Some homepages got stuck when loading. Visiting downtown requires a car trip.

Great service at the hotel, professional vibes, great food and even better views. The location is also pretty good, 10-15min from city centre and amazing beaches literally in front of the hotel!

Staying here with a friend – the hotel itself is nice and clean, which we appreciated. However, the food options are seriously lacking. Breakfast is extremely basic with very little to choose from, which was disappointing. On our first night, we arrived late and couldn’t even buy a bottle of water because everything was closed and was told to just use the tap water. There are no nearby shops within walking distance, so the hotel really needs to step up its game and offer at least some basic amenities like snacks or drinks – even just a vending machine would make a big difference. The bar food is also overpriced for what you get. We paid £24 for chicken wings and chips, and honestly, it didn’t even taste nice. Definitely not good value for money. Overall, a decent place to stay in terms of cleanliness, but very poorly catered in terms of food and convenience
