Stayed for 12 nights. It was OK but was excited to leave by the end. Pool was great for the kids only thing is it's definitely in need of some TLC. Cracked tiles and broken umbrellas etc. Never an issue really getting sunbeds in the afternoon. The little drinks van was lovely and esteban was so nice to the kids. The rooms are nice only our air conditioning was brutal didn't work great. Plus an issue with ants. I felt like any time you go to reception it was like you were annoying them which I didn't like. There's very little feel of trying to make your stay great. The food is not great I liked on tuna just because the variety was so bad very little for the kids too. Nothing was ever labelled which is so wrong and goes against food regulations id imagine. The manager of the restaurant don't let him fool you. He acts nice but his tone can be so unfriendly. There's never a sense of helping it's more an inconvenience. Always a bad smell over near the drinks machine and the orange always had dark specs in it. Not ideal. I went one morning to take away some pancakes for my son he has additional needs and couldn't leave the room that morning it was noted on our booking we had a son with additional needs. I was told I couldn't take a few pancakes away for him the chef doesn't allow it. I went on to try to explain my situation and the woman was adamant it was a no. Manual I'm guessing he is the restaurant manager came over repeatedly said the same thing but eventually let me take a few pancakes in a take away box while repeating I need to inform reception if something happens like this. I'm sorry now but parents are under enough stress without having to go tell reception every single thing. There was little to no understanding I left the restaurant that morning feeling worse than I did when I entered it was at that point I was over this hotel. The hotel is not autism friendly I think staff need additional training. There seems to be no customer service rep or overall manager the reception deal with everything and as I said it doesn't seem genuine. The doors in the room aswell can open from the inside so a child can easily open and just walk out. Kids club seemed good but we didn't avail. Seemed very geared towards French holiday goers. Somedays the pool area was like a zoo kids running wild being little bullies to other kids while the parents sat in the sun unbothered. Overall it's grand definitely not 4 star and definitely needs attention to detail!

We are currently still at Bakour and leaving shortly but wanted to take the time to write a honest but very positive review. Not entirely sure what all of the negative reviewers are seeing but we arrived expecting the worst but have been pleasantly surprised and are all really sad to be leaving! Firstly, the hotel is clean, spacious and exceptionally friendly. All staff go out of their way to say hello, check if you need something and help when needed, even when we don’t speak any Spanish. The food is good - honestly good! And we are big foodies! There’s ample choice, everything is hot and replenished regularly. I can honestly say I ate like a queen for my holiday. The all Inclusive drinks are also really good- freshly made cocktails and decent wines, beer and cava. The room was large, well cleaned and towels/ toilet rolls replenished daily. The beds were changed during our stay and floors mopped daily - the housekeepers are friendly and courteous. One day my little one was napping in the room and she quietly worked around him and checked I was okay with the bed not being re-made! The kids club is the star of the show! A massive shout out and thank you to Dani who made our holiday as amazing as it was. He went out of his way to make my boys’ holiday special- from playing with them, saying hello around the hotel and organising a little packet of sweets for my son’s birthday. He really is credit to the hotel and his hardwork dedication to his job was noticed. The pool facilities are amazing for young children - amazing slides and splash tower. If you are a couple on your own, I wouldn’t recommend coming here as the hotel is very child heavy ! Which is great for people like us! Yes, there’s a few ants in the room (we brushed them away!) yes, there’s a few broken tiles (we walked around them!) and even those were being repaired which solved one of the things people Were complaining about. Tips: - there’s a launderette next door so you can do all of your laundry for about 5€ - the rooms at the back of the hotel are the quietest. - there’s a lovely beach, Playa Grande about 15 mins walk away. - some great little supermarkets all walking distance - the pool tiles do get slippery when wet so just remind little ones not to run! Thank you Bakour (and Dani especially) for a memorable 9 nights. Please ignore the bad reviews - we honestly have no idea what people were seeing! And this is coming from a family who have visited some high end resorts! We were super impressed and would love to return.
