A magnificent experience. Gorgeous rooms, stunning views, attentive service, delicious and thoughtful dining, and a lovely spa. The steam room and sauna and hot tub on lower level are no bathing suit and co-ed, but this American tossed her prudish ways and enjoyed a new cultural experience. :) My Arbor surpassed my expectations!

Pros: Fabulous rooms with compelling views; the property, in general, is appealing, scrupulously clean, and well maintained; a very nice spa with excellent (for pay) services; the breakfast buffet was consistently fresh and varied, with many healthy options; picturesque hikes and fun activities available a moderate walk from the hotel; highly worthwhile to visit the old town center of nearby Bressanone/Brixen, especially its magnificent church, with roots in the end of the first millennium! Cons: The room was stuffy and hot, and we were astonished to find that there was no a/c. The staff member who accompanied us to the room tried to convince us that it was not actually that hot, that the heat wave that had just passed through was over and it would be fine. When we pushed, he said there were in-room a/c units available and would have it sent up. It never came. After an uncomfortable night, we asked the same staff member, who again assured us one would be sent. A fan was later delivered. When we followed up, he told us that all the a/cs were spoken for and a fan was all they had. At any stay, but especially in a spa retreat, a good night's sleep is a premium, but it was not possible here. How do you build a hotel in the age of global warming without a/c, or in ways to promote natural cooling (there are not even ceiling fans), is beyond me. Mixed: The cold buffet for dinner was solid (don't sleep on the German potato salad), but the served part of the meal was generally disappointing. One of those restaurants where the chef is trying too hard to impress with unusual flavor pairings but often fails. The service throughout the hotel was a mix of interesting and engaging staff eager to respond, and rather icy (e.g., front desk) or pleasant but not particularly helpful.

It is a very unique 5-star hotel in every way. The dining experience is exceptional! Presented every night with a different outstanding 7 course menu and being able to swop or even add to dishes that are maybe not to you liking from the classics menu. My Arbor has another dining concept in Bressanone as an alternative to the Haute cuisine on offer every night at the hotel - "Grissino", we were already aware of the alternative dining option after researching the hotel before we booked. We booked through reception where a voucher is issued for you to take to the restaurant if you have booked on a half board basis. Best fillet steak, I can honestly say we've had. Apparently, the chef has worked at the restaurant for 15 years. It's a fantastic alternative if you fancy a change from the fine dining on offer, with very friendly staff that aim to make your dining experience memorable. All rooms of My Arbor are facing the mountains and the valley of Bressanone, this is breathtaking, the location is idyllic, 10 minutes walk from My Arbor to the Plose cable car, we used this twice to the endless walks on offer at the top of the mountain. Excellent beer/lunch stop at Rifugio Rosselm. The facilities on offer at My Arbor are exceptional. The indoor/outdoor pool has a spa lounger outside facing the mountains where you can enjoy a reasonably priced cocktail. We did our research and discovered through various literature that the hotel does have a nudist side if this takes your fancy, this was not in our face so didn't bother us in the slightest, the bathing costume side was more than enough to satisfy why we chose My Arbor. The staff in the hotel is another concept in itself, all young people striving to make everyone's holiday unique. They are a credit to the hotel. Absolutely love the fact that the Huber family who own the hotel all get stuck in with the day to day running of the hotel, we saw Renate in a lift with a luggage trolley, amazing, always with a beaming smile!! Had a spa treatment, the rooms are not overlooked, so the treatment rooms look out onto the mountains, different to any spa i have been to. It was our last day today, but this hotel will be in our memories forever. This hotel is based around fine dining and personal experiences with a different concept, I would highly recommend My Arbor,
