There were no disappointments, only delightful surprises. 🏖️ Rooftop Bliss The rooftop is a standout feature, boasting a stylish pool and bar that offer both relaxation and atmosphere. The infinity pool, while not enormous, is beautifully designed and perfect for unwinding. The materials and layout are pleasant and good quality, and dining options are also sufficient and fresh. 🧘 Space & Serenity One of the most remarkable aspects was the perfect balance between guests and space. It never felt crowded, and the ambiance remained peaceful throughout our stay. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to help and genuinely caring. 🍳 Breakfast to Remember Breakfast was superb—rich, varied, and impeccably clean. It’s clear that great care goes into both the selection and presentation of the food. 🛏️ Comfortable Rooms The rooms were very good: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. 🤝 Outstanding Hospitality Special thanks to Alberto, the owner, whose attentiveness and responsiveness made a real difference. We booked this hotel for one night as part of our tour of Sicily. It was pricier than most but booked due to location. We were very disappointed. The room was soulless, no complimentary water, no tea or coffee making facilities just a sterile shell. The bathroom was nice though but shower broken and no action when reported. The worst issue was no one told us about the large and loud fairground directly next to our balcony. The noise continued late into the night making a quiet ‘night cap’ on the balcony impossible. More worrying was when I went to complain there wasn’t a member of staff to be found anywhere and no security even though the hotel doors were wide open. Location and rooftop pool fine (despite staff there also disappearing) but overall a disappointment.

We booked this hotel in July 2024 after reading some great reviews. We were not disappointed at all. The staff here are exceptionally friendly- Christine, Miriam and Alberto to name a few. The room was cleaned every day and the breakfast had good options. The pool area is lovely and offers an amazing view over Cefalu. We would love to come back one day!

Location good and walkable, room very clean and well equipped, view from pool stunning, reception and management friendly. We booked the spa room to have a spa on our first night but couldn't get it to work.. there were no instructions in the room, we thought it was faulty. In the morning we asked and were told how to use it.. not intuitive (hold button for 5-6 seconds). The pool is stunning but there are not enough umbrellas so we weren't able to sit by it, we had a swim then sat at a table by the bar. Breakfast is a cold buffet of very delicious looking breads, sandwiches, pastries and sweet treats plus cold ham and cheese, jams etc. I realised later that you can order an omelette which is hot and delicious. This morning I really annoyed the lady serving by arriving too early. We left and came back 8 minutes later, she ignored me until I had to walk over to ask to order an omelette and coffee, I had already explained we had to get a train. Her demeanour compelled me to apologise repeatedly for being such a bother to her.

We had the most wonderful few days at Sunset Hotel recently. The hotel was an oasis of calm and comfort. The staff were unfailingly cheerful, helpful, efficient and charming. The rooftop pool was beautiful with excellent views across Cefalu and the sea. The daily breakfast was varied and plentiful and such a nice touch for the hotel to provide a ‘breakfast box’ o take as we had a very early flight. I highly recommend this hotel and will be returning very soon.
