Upon arrival we were given keys to our apartment which was a pleasant surprise as it was only lunchtime and we had expected to have to wait until mid afternoon. This is probably down to the time of year as the hotel was starting to wind down and was probably not as busy as it might be in peak season. We found the location to be good as it was quiet without being remote. There are a few restaurants and two good beaches within walking distance and there is a bus stop outside the hotel if you want to go into Ciutadella, Cala Blanca or further afield where you will find more restaurants and shops. We had hired a car for the duration of our stay so we did not use the busses but heard from other guests that they were cheap and regular. This resort is about 45 minutes from the airport by car and being on the west coast benefits from great views out towards Majorca, proximity to Ciutadella and fantastic sunsets that can be viewed just a few minutes walk away. The accommodation itself was a good size, we had a one bedroom ground floor apartment with a terrace looking out onto the road which suited us as we like our peace and quiet and did not really want to be facing the pool. The cooking facilities were a bit limited but there is a toaster and microwave and we did manage to make a few meals on the 2 ring hob. Strangely the kettle lead was not long enough to reach the kitchen socket but this was easily solved by plugging it into the sitting area socket. Overall the apartment needed a bit of TLC especially the shower screens which had a tendency to leak and flood the bathroom. Our apartment was serviced every day and any towels left on the bathroom floor were replaced. If you did not require this service you could opt to put a do not disturb sign on the door. The whole team of cleaners were very efficient, friendly and professional and we felt well looked after in this respect. We opted to include breakfast in our package and we were happy with the options available at the buffet each morning especially our egg men who cooked fried eggs and omelettes to order and to our individual taste. As well as the cooked breakfast options there was fresh fruit, pancakes, breads, cereals, yoghurt, cheeses and cold meats to choose from. Part way though our stay we came back one day to find that our door would not open. Initially we thought it was a key issue but after several visits to reception it was clear that the keys were working fine and the problem appeared to be the door itself. A maintenance man eventually forced the door open with his shoulder and it turned out that a pipe had burst in the apartment above and the water had come through the ceiling in several places flooding the whole floor thus making the door swell up to the point that it would not open. Initially the response was good with a team of cleaners with mops and buckets sorting out the water on the floor and the maintenance man finding the broken pipework in the apartment above and shutting off the water. From here on it was not so good as we were then left with the task of trying to remove all of our possessions outdoors as quickly as possible whilst water rained down from the ceilings above. A lot of our clothes were wet as the water had run down through the the wardrobe section and our dirty laundry which had been in bags on the floor was also soaked. Fortunately there was no damage to our electricals but things like books, suitcases and bags were all wet. We were soon provided with another apartment a few doors down and given some assistance to transfer our belongings there. When we asked what we were supposed to do with all of the wet clothes, bags and suitcase we were instructed to put them out to dry on the clothes airer as the water that had leaked was clean water. We were still a bit in shock at the time and did not really question this but we did ask if they could find us another clothes airer as we had way too much wet stuff to dry on one airer. The lady said she would find another airer but this never turned up. There were some apologies made to my partner by reception staff when they realised it was water damage and not a key issue that was preventing us from getting into our door and again as we moved our wet belongings to the other apartment. In all we spent about 3 hours rescuing our possessions and moving them from one apartment to another and the next 36 hours trying to dry out our wet clothing, books, bags etc. I expected some kind of follow up that evening or the next day from management such as a formal apology, a check to make sure that there was no damage to our property and an offer of some kind of recompense but we heard absolutely nothing from anyone. The only follow up was a couple of days later when one of the cleaning ladies who was there during the incident asked us if we were OK. I understand that things can go wrong such as pipes bursting but looking back on it we should not have been left with piles of wet clothing and possessions to dry out in our own valuable holiday time. Hotel management should have followed up with a formal apology and to see if there was any damage to our possessions and to offer some form of recompense for the disruption and stress. There were many positives to our stay at Vibra Blanc Cottages as I have mentioned above but unfortunately where the flooding incident is concerned we felt that Vibra hotels let themselves down badly and it would put us off staying in one of their properties again.

We came here for 11days and is having a fantastic holiday, hotel lovely and clean we was lucky to have an updated room, was slightly worried what we would end up with having reading the reviews but we was pleased, there is entertainment every night including mini disco for the kids which they loved! Staff really friendly and helpful especially Alexandra! My husband 40th birthday out here which we had a lovely bottle of wine! However I did not enjoy the hotel restaurant we went once and that was enough!!!! The location was fantastic a lovely quiet beach cove two minute walk! Citudella was only 15 minutes walk also buses was good to with bus stop not being far from hotel. Would definitely come back here!

When we arrived at reception we were greeted with a smile and the staff member was very polite and to our surprise our apartment was ready for us and this was about lunch time, the walk to the apartment was okay but it felt like ages with a child and all of our bags but the main complex was closed so that was expected, when we arrived at our apartment it was clean and tidy but a bit dated we found that our balcony door wouldn't lock and we were on the ground floor so we wanted security because we were facing the road, they came within an hour and the fridge was dirty and they took out the old one and replaced it with a new fridge we couldn't fault the work of the maintenance man, the pool was fantastic was abit cold but it was nice to swim in and the kids pool with the slides was amazing our daughter played in it all day everyday while we were there, normally kids club isnt something we put our daughter into while abroad but the kids club was all glass so you could see in there by sitting by the pool and our daughter came out with drawings and face painting which she loved, the lunch food from the pool bar was great not to badly priced either, the drink were on the pricey side for example a malibu and coke was 8 euros so we went to the shop down the road and brought drinks from there a bottle of Malibu was 16 euros which lasted us a whole week which obviously worked out alot cheaper, the breakfast from the buffet was okay but the best part for us was the fresh cooked omelettes and crepes/pancakes with nutella yum yum!!!! However dinner wasnt great the food was cold and wasnt much choice for kids especially because our daughter is allergic to tomatoes, by the third night we didnt want to eat there anymore so we ordered takeaways instead. The evening entertainment was okay the kids disco was the same every night but the kids all loved it the entertainment after was okay but felt like there was no atmosphere. But if another cheap deal came up we would go again, and we could like to thank Martin the bar man who you could have a laugh with and was really friendly. The beach which is like a 30 second walk away was breath taking, my husband said that there was fish swimming all around his legs and the water is so clear. The hotel was the exact definition of budget but you get what you pay for which we could not fault so i think the some of the other reviews are a bit harsh.

Chilled experience at the end of the season, not too busy yet active and a great environment that is well maintained and kept clean. Worth wandering to local beach and also exploring Ciutadella. Now thinking of returning next year with family

Pleasant apartments, got everything we needed and very close by. Staff were friendly especially Alexandra, whose English is perfect! A few restaurants round the area, we loved the paella at Garbells. Hired a car to get round the island, which was beautiful. All in all a perfect week!
