Have been to this hotel or years. Always email hotel (as recomended) a month in advance to book a particular room. We always pay extra for pool view but all we got was a brick wall!!. (Room 101) went to reception all she said can`t help till tomorrow. Next moning saw the rep and she sorted it . The rep also said that she couldn`t see a problem because the hotel wasn`t full. Still a lovely hotel still some old faces. Pity reception couldn`t get it right.

My friend and I booked a twin room (superior with sea and pool view). Fabulous hotel and spotless! The only downside side was the lack of drawers and places to hang clothes in the bathroom (this bathroom was designed for disabled with excellent shower access for people with mobility problems which we didn’t need as we have no mobility problems) but apart from that the room was lovely, comfy bed and cleaned every day. If you needed anything you only had to ask and it was promptly dealt with by excellent reception staff. The food was really good and the choice was great for any dietary requirements. We always used the back gate onto the promenade next to the pool (we didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on it! Most of the evening entertainment was very good especially on Tuesday and Friday! Would definitely recommend staying there ,especially if you enjoy a quieter holiday. We stayed in room 518.

We visited this hotel late February early March and when the coach pulled up outside we were pleasantly surprised. The reception staff were friendly and check in was quick. We were told the meal times and it was also on the card with the room keys they were nice times as we like to eat later in the evening so they suited us well. The hotel was very nice we upgraded to a superior room and it was well worth the money. There was a fridge and safe in the room. It did say there was wi-fi throughout the hotel but the only place we could get it in the room was in the bathroom. You got a better signal at the gate at the back of the hotel leading to the promenade. The cleaners worked hard and when we didn't want our room cleaning they happily gave us coffee, milk and sugar. The breakfasts were very good but the evening meals were a bit hit and miss. Some of the food was only warm but there was a good choice. The waiters and waotresses were a bit eager to clear your plates away as one morning my husband had toast and bacon that he had made in to a sandwich when I went to get my breakfast he decided to go and get another coffee and when he came back his breakfast was gone. I had salad most nights that I put on a seperate plate from my main meal and I had put a little bit of the salad on my main plate and as I was eating my meal the waiter took the plate away that still had quite a lot of salad on it. I couldn't believe it surely they should wait until you've finished eating to clear your table. There was a sign where the food was to say only take enough food that you intend to eat to save waste. Well they wasted food that we were going to eat. The area where the hotel is in is called La Carihuela and is near to Benalmadena. There was plenty of bars close by and a very nice sandwich shop called La Tahona just off the main promenade.
