Please do read to the last paragraph…this is a totally honest review. Our first impression on arrival was very good, luggage collected from hire car and valet parking. On arrival I requested our booking be changed to a sea view room, I had requested this with Voyage Privé, the booking agent we had used but it had been refused, and also by emailing the hotel prior, but they hadn’t responded. I knew sea view was available since I’d checked on the Hilton booking site. We were initially refused but the following day we were given a sea view room, free of charge…we would have been happy to pay but this wasn’t needed so a plus point for them. From there it was down hill. The only food available was only the buffet, not terrible but we’ve had much better…food was mostly overcooked, lukewarm and over salted. The snack bar and grill restaurant were not on the all-inclusive, nor was coffee or ice-cream. In the room you were initially supplied with 4 Nespresso coffee pods, 2 milk jiggers (one of which was solid and sour) and one bottle of water, no tea…any additional were charged at €3 for 500ml bottle of water and coffee capsules at €1 each! The bathrobes would have been a nice touch, but the only size they had was a supposed L/XL that the hip measurement was approx 102 cm, fine if you’re a size 10 or 12! There were 3 animation workers that catered predominantly for French speaking guests, and no other activities or entertainment. On weekends guests had to suffer an horrendous cacophony of sound from neighbouring venue, restaurant entertainment and piped sounds from the hotel gardens. Neighbouring partying went on till dawn, though hotel bars did not honour their published opening times and throughout our stay closed before 11pm at the latest. Many of the sun beds, which were plentiful except for the weekends, were grotty and tired – and that’s being kind. Many of the parasols were worn and tired, general hotel maintenance is severely lacking, noisy lifts, electricity supply, public area cleanliness. Service was poor with the exception of Anastasia. On several occasions our orders were forgotten totally. At the bar we were ignored while bar staff workers laughed among themselves and watched videos on their phones or spotted a guest without the all-inclusive armband. In the spa, when in the relax area after the sauna and we asked for water we were told to get it ourselves from the gym area…where when we went to get the water there were no cups, so had to go to the reception area to get the cups. The roof bar staff was also rude,(also no shaded area on the roof bar) and on one occasion concierges told us to park on the road. For several days the sheet on the bed had a sizeable tear, that was ironed in. The rooms have inadequate storage space if you’ve more than one small suitcase. This is the absolute worst 5-star hotel we have ever stayed in … avoid, avoid, avoid.
