Hotel Le Meridien Lav

Great view over the Marina Lav in Split, this hotel is in a terrific spot. During my three day conference I made extensive use of the sauna, spa, cool indoor pool and (really cold) outdoor infinity pool. Despite it being March, I even took a dip in the Adriatic Sea using their beach. The hotel has really appealing outdoor areas, including a large patio and a small patio with a stone water feature. The room was comfortable with a nice view over the water, plenty of drawer space, and lots of hanging space (and I brought a lot!). Notwithstanding all those positives, the best part of the hotel is the hotel staff. From the moment I entered to check in, they were responsive, quick to act on anything that was raised, and incredibly gracious. Each of them had a quick smile and a welcoming word. As a first-time visitor to the country (and I don't speak the language), they were of great assistance in helping me navigate my stay.

I was in that hotel like 10 years ago and at that time this hotel was a flagship hotel for whole Croatia. After my return in 2024, I have to say that the hotel is outdated and needs really a major update. Below are my remarks: - Breakfast is super bad and selection os poor, same as food - The SPA and pool is terrible and in bad condition. Even my kids didn't wanted to swim in the indoor pool. People enter in sauna with swimwear and no one cares about any standards - Elevators are slow and in our case couple times didn't worked - The hotel itself could be in better condition and needs a major update - In overall hotel staff is polite, and only on reception it could be better - Kids spaces have PS3 consoles :) However not all is bad and employees are in overall polite and helpful. Rooms are solid as well

We stayed for a business trip. The hair industry is crazy and so many times it’s hard to get good service in hotels when you have a 500+ group of people. These guys were excellent. Drinks were fast and although there were baby staying the hotel never felt full or busy. The food was good. Not excellent but tasty enough. The location is very pretty!! Rooms are fine with the usual mod cons. Breakfast is an array of so much!!!!

Lovely resort hotel, very relaxing atmosphere. Room and breakfast were excellent **. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly the housekeeping staff. Loved being by the marina and loved watching, from our balcony, the boats being moved about. Drinks in all bars were very expensive. We ate at the restaurants on site most of the time, fish restaurant was nice, but lacked atmosphere, the Italian was very nice - ate there a lot. However, the Spalatum buffet restaurant was very poor, it felt like the offerings had been made out of leftovers - in the same place as breakfast, which was excellent, was served, so we were very disappointed with the buffet. The Underside pub was great - we went there most evenings after dinner and the lady serving us was so nice and helpful. Pools were lovely. ** The only drawback was that our room (424) had an 'overhang' over the balcony which was the roost for all of the local pigeons, which resulted in pigeon poo all over the balcony every morning - not nice. But overall a fab hotel - loved it
