Atlantis The Royal

We stayed here and Atlantis the Palm and both hotels were incredible. The Royal has a luxurious feel with stunning decor on display from the moment you arrive. Our room was pristine and very comfortable with a gorgeous spacious bathroom stocked with all the toiletries we could ever need! We were on the 37th floor so also had amazing views out on the balcony. Perfect outdoor spaces by the pools and beach with plenty of quality loungers. In both hotels staff went above and beyond in every area. Every detail was taken care of, and the housekeeping team, beach and pool staff attentiveness at the Royal continually impressed us. I would like to mention the security (sorry didn’t get a name) who stood by the sunset tower lifts- he greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome every time we used the lift! We visited Gastronomy, Cloud 22, Nobu by the beach and The Royal Tea room during our stay at the Royal and every one of them was a fantastic experience. We loved every second of our time at Atlantis and hope to return soon!

Mark from the sea lounge needs a pay rise or promotion. All staff in the lounge were outstanding. Food & cocktails drinks were delicious. Hotel ambiance is opulent & amazing . Evening water light shows spectacular. African house keeping staff imbaki (I think) was always full of smiles and gave us a happy start to the day.

This was our second visit after almost exactly a year and much of what I wrote in my first review still applies. The hotel itself is spectacular with so much to take in wherever you turn but what made it very special for us was the level of care, professionalism and welcome that we encountered from everyone we met during our stay. For example, we arrived *very* early and our room was not yet available but the lovely team at reception (we interacted with three but I can only recall Laurenia by name) made us feel very welcome, did their best to meet our tricky room request despite the hotel being incredibly busy and helped us to ensure we, including our two young children, could start to enjoy our stay from the moment we walked in. During our visit we spent most of our time by the pool and all of the staff were amazing - friendly and professional despite the very hot conditions (a big thank you to Santiago and Ayman here). They really were working very hard to ensure all of the guests were well looked after despite the pool areas being much busier during this stay compared with last year. In fact, I must admit that it was often difficult to find a sun bed and this may have been due to the fact the hotel was so much busier than last year and that there also seemed to be a number of non-hotel guests doing 'day visits' to the pool. On our visit last year, I remarked that it had been more difficult than I had expected to obtain simple gluten-free food for our youngest (5 years old). On this occasion, however, we did notice a significant improvement and our daughter was very well looked after in this regard - I am not sure if the hotel management had made any changes since our trip last year but a *huge* thank you if they did. All of the restaurants we visited were great including Seascapes which was a little gem for us in the evenings when we needed somewhere very relaxed and casual (a big thank you to Tarik for handling our multiple allergy questions and ensuring our children felt very welcome and happy). Also a special mention to Zaw Heia at Gastronomy who looked after us twice at breakfast with a big smile and had an amazing ability to predict what we would need before we had asked! As other travelers have mentioned, a big reason for the positive impression of this hotel is the housekeeping team - they were superb with keeping our room clean and tidy but always with a smile, helping us make best use of the room and with a sense of fun by leaving little treats for the children. All of the team was fantastic but I really want to mention Osama who went the extra mile on our very last morning, when we had only 15 minutes before check-out, to find an item for us that ensured we left the hotel with positive memories for a second time. Overall, we were very happy that our return visit experience was just as positive as last time and we look forward to returning soon.

This was our second visit to Atlantis The Royal this year, after being loyal guests at Atlantis The Palm since 2009—with over 18 stays there. In my opinion, this hotel and its staff are truly the best in the world. I want to especially thank the incredible individuals who made our stay unforgettable: Paul Baker, for your outstanding hospitality—truly above and beyond. Padou Kabchi, for your flawless organization and attention to detail. Snezana Vujacic, for your endless support with our booking and for handling all our special requests with care that far exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t be more impressed and grateful.
