I made a booking at this hotel a while ago and paid for the entire stay in full via Booking.com. Closer to the date they sent me a message saying that there was a problem with the system and they have to cancel my booking, and requesting me to try to book it again. I was speechless; I tried exploring the same days, and the price is about four times higher. I made my flight bookings and arranged my transportation accordingly based on this booking. They did not even bother to apologize, just sent me a cancellation. I am shocked; I never imagined I would face a situation like this with a hotel that is highly rated and considered 5-star. They are a scam. Don't tell me that I did not warn you. Booking.com asked me to deal with them, and if I am not happy, to request a refund. Thank you booking.com!!!!

Wonderful, relaxing few days spent at Shukran Palace. A luxurious resort in an idyllic setting with its own stretch of beach and not too far from attractions like Stone Town. The staff at Shukran place are amazing and made us feel welcome and very special. They went out of their way to make our trip memorable. Great food, brilliant staff and a fantastic location - highly recommended.

The hotel is amazing. The rooms are very spacious , The chef made us special meals and made sure we loved what we got. The team and staff are so welcoming at every corner of the hotel. I would go back to Shukran Palace at every given opportunity. You should try it!!!!! My best Zanzibar experience by far.

This all inclusive hotel is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The hotel itself is spectacular - beautiful, immaculately clean and located right on a beautiful white sand beach. The food was absolutely amazing - Chef Suneel is extraordinarily talented and could be a top chef at any restaurant in the world. Lastly, I cannot say enough about the accommodating staff. From our very first encounter checking in to our very last encounter checking out, every person we met was super friendly and determined to make our visit a wonderful experience. Neena was our primary server while we were at the property and she went out of her way to make sure we had excellent service at every meal. So did Ezekial, the restaurant supervisor who was not only attentive himself, but doing an amazing job managing a wonderful staff. Lastly, Lillian at the front office was very helpful in making sure there wasn’t a single glitch in our entire visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar who wants a luxury experience where you will be treated like royalty.
