Apartments Cordial Magec Taurito

Sat on the balcony having my morning coffee. We are elated we chose these apartments! They are big, very modern and the whole complex is immaculate. The staff have been amazing to us as I have some parcels arriving from the uk with medical equipment in. We are self catering and the bar food is lovely. The lady at the bar has been so friendly to the kids too. The pool is gorgeous & no fighting for sunbeds. A lifeguard who is friendly is watching each day too. The area isn’t great for eating out there’s a few restaurants but the beach is a short walk away and shops / stuff to do. Also not far to other areas. We honestly cannot fault this hotel and will definitely be returning thank you :)

Cordial Magec Taurito is definitely a mixed bag. I try to give an honest report (you can check my previous reviews) as I always read reviews myself before booking and find an honest review helpful. As a Cordial hotel I did expect we would have the same high standard we have experienced in other Cordial establishments. How wrong we were. GOOD Spacious rooms, clean with efficient air con Quiet with lovely views from balcony Lovely pool (but may get crowded at times) Friendly helpful staff BAD - Very bad! We booked half board. The food is the worst I have ever been offered! The quality of the ingredients are the cheapest of the cheap and the choice is very very limited. The same cheap dishes are served every evening, food is cold as it is left out for ages under lamps. For example the pizza was cold and dried up, chips were dried up oven chips. EVERY night there was a pan of congealed pepper sauce made from a packet with a thick skin over the top. The grandchildren lived on a few cheese croquets. The salads were just cut up veg with sometimes some tined tuna or tined mackerel and as for the deserts! the same few choices were served EVERY one of the 7 nights. There was some ice cream but again very poor quality. Each night on the "show kitchen" 1 choice of some unrecognisable cheap white fish or a piece of meat so tough that the knives could not cut through it all sinew and bone - revolting. Even the breakfast was awful. Powdered lumpy "scrambled" egg the same salad as the previous night and the usual breakfast fare but all very poor quality. All the milk is UHT or powdered. Even the bread was stale and like sawdust! There was a good choice of fruit which was edible. Sometimes only 1 member of staff on breakfast trying to clear tables, keep dishes topped up AND cook the fresh omelettes. We felt sorry for the staff who were doing their best. Ended up having to clear our own tables and scrape waste into a plastic container. I would compare to school dinners but at least school dinners are edible! LOCATION You either need a car or be quite fit as it is a steep walk up from the beach and small selection of hotels/restaurants at the sea front. There is a tiny supermarket about six hundred yards up the road but very limited choice there. ADVICE If you have a car and just want accommodation then the apartments are good. Don't go for any of the food options.

This is a wonderful place with beautiful views. Everything from the staff to the accommodation was just perfect! Feel the staff need an extra mention as all were very kind and helpful, from the reception to the ladies at the pool bar, the chef to the night porter, maintenance and cleaning staff. These people do not stop and it shows in the cleanliness and upkeep of the place. Playa Taurito itself was perhaps not for us but our holiday was wonderful due to the excellent accommodation. We very much enjoyed getting the bus to Amadores in the evenings where there are fantastic eateries.

Nice and clean. Ebbi is a very nice lovely woman and helpful, the young life guard was also very nice, the rest of the staff including the man wearing black shirt at dinner and young lady chef were very rude towards my disabled son, and shouted at my partner, started making remarks and faces towards our family absolutely disgusting behaviour went straight to receptionist after incident spoke with “David” who said he would “speak to them” not good enough at all! Booked a flight home straight after this happened and safe to say we will NEVER return.

Great long pool and lots of sun loungers albeit not the most comfortable. We spent the time in the lovely lush garden which was very quiet. A good 15 mins walk down a steep hill to the main resort. Apartments were big and spacious but the only down side was the standard and choice of food.
