Good Value Hotel
Spent a week here, booked it as it was on a special price, all inclusive, so was not expecting too much, overall good value for money, but a few areas need to be looked at, I realise renovations to this hotel are still ongoing, of which I may add made no impact on my stay here as it is refurb more than major building works. The hotel was by no means full, so plenty of sunbeds, which all appeared to be new, however for this hotel to come up to scratch there are some areas than can be improved upon. The outside areas need to be kept tidier, and a cleaner to look after this, on more than one occasion saw spilt drinks on floor outside restaurant and pool bar area, which on one appeared to be bothered to clean up. No inside bar open in the evenings, only the outside where entertainment is provided, which in May the evenings were a bit chilly to sit outside. The entertainment was not great, as for the team they did very little a bit of yoga in the mornings, a few games and one day water aerobics. They were not particulary socialable people, never said good morning etc. Seem to only want to know a few guests. Food was plentiful although never very hot, I think Dinner starts too early and finishes too late. Plenty of choices but a little repetitive but thats not unusual for AI. Restaurant staff very good, as they were understaffed most days, maybe because the hotel was not full they have not employed too many. In my week there I never saw a restaurant manager which is very unusual, as they are usually around. Our room was in one of the blocks not refurbished but was very good, exceptionally large and great balcony overlooking mountains and golf course. The hotel is away from any other facilities, so thik it would be a good idea to have a shop on site, just for those little things you may need. Overall for the price we paid it was a good break. Would I return? maybe in a couple of years when hotel is finished and they are a little better organised. Shuttle bus times not great.
