Vinpearl Discovery Wonderworld Phu Quoc

This is our second time stay at Vinpearl WONDERWORLD. We had a wonderful 2 week holiday at the resort in a 3 bed room villa. Our three teen children (13 to 18 ) had a time of their lives going to Vin Wonder next door almost daily. The food is fantastic especially at Taras. Service is excellent and all staff’s very attentive and helpful. 24/7 medical service is exceptional, my husband got a bit sick and The doctors took care of him very well, staff and managers somehow were all aware and kept checking on his health, they even had the kitchen make special rice congee (free of charge ) for him as he could not eat anything else for 2 days being sick. My husband was very grateful for their care and support, so were I and our children. Gym spa sauna facilities were convenient and nice. Magic Bag Laundry service at 350k VND per bag was a nice surprise (AU$20 or US14 approx for a big bag of clothes). We will definitely come back. Highly recommend. Thank you for having us.

We recently stayed at Vinpearl Wonderworld Phu Quoc in one of the 3-bedroom villas, and while there were definitely some positives, there were also several areas for improvement. The good: The resort has a lovely beach, and the transport options within the premises are very convenient — tuk-tuks and VinBus made it easy to get around. The villa itself was spacious, with four bathrooms and comfortable beds, which made the stay relaxing for a larger group. The breakfast selection was varied and tasty, and the complimentary birthday cake was a thoughtful touch. The shared pool was great, and we appreciated the added water sports options. The private villa pool, although quite small and a bit heavy on the chlorine, was still a nice feature. Other positives include the free airport shuttle, strong WiFi, and daily replenishment of bottled water. We also had an issue with a leaking air conditioning unit in one of the rooms, but maintenance was quick to respond and fix the problem, which we really appreciated. The not-so-good: Unfortunately, service and attention to detail were lacking. Towels were sometimes forgotten or not replenished, and despite having a private pool, there were no towels provided for it in the villa. Some bathrooms were missing basics like soap and towels upon arrival. The kitchen was completely unusable as there were no pots, pans, or utensils provided. Our villa also had issues like a front door that didn’t lock properly without some effort, and on our first entry, we found old robes hanging behind the doors — likely left behind by previous guests. English communication with staff was very difficult, which made resolving issues challenging. Some rooms also lacked hangers, again showing a general lack of attention to detail. Another downside was that beach access was cut off quite early in the evening (around 6:45–7pm), which felt restrictive. Overall, the resort has a lot of potential and some lovely facilities, but it needs significant improvements in service quality and guest experience to match expectations.
