I worked as a babysitter for a family staying in the hotel. NO BINS There are very few bins in the hotel. In the common areas there's only in a few places outside, there's no bins near the reception, halls or eating area. When I changed a nappy, I would need to look for the toilet to bin it. NO RECYCLING There are maybe one or two bins with recycling system outside, but they don't actually do recycling. I saw one employee putting all together. When I asked him if they don't do any recycling, he said they put it all together in the trash, and that there's also a lot of food waste, and employees are not allowed to take any home. NOT MADE FOR BABIES or WHEELCHAIR Inside the hotel there was only stairs, if I would want to go down with the pram, I would need to ask help to someone or use the elevator that many times was busy. Also, there was no place to change baby nappies in the toilets. COMPLICATED TECH The hotel is very modern, but me and the family I worked with found the lights and bedroom technological system complicated and not handy I hope some changes can be done, specially regarding the bins and recycling system. With a GREEN KEY certification, recycling should be a priority.

Staff are adding a 10% service fee (tip) to the bills at least to North American guests, which may be standard in North America is far from it in Europe. The staff do tell you you can void the service fee without telling you and quickly walking away to pressure you to accept it and just move on. While it seems like a small thing, at this price point for a European hotel you can do better without the nickel and diming. I’d suggests looking at other hotels as this left a bad taste in my mouth.

Impressive hotel entrance with the signature w aroma…which was nice. Lobby area was clean and inviting. Our room was ready on arrival and it was spotless…really can’t fault it in terms of size and facilities…we overlooked the pool had a nice balcony etc. only gripe was not being able to get to grips with the controls for the curtains! Breakfast was the let down…poached eggs regularly served still cold ( possibly cooked in advance) so I’d avoid this order. But little things like getting orders wrong/ empty Drinks / plates left on the table for way too long. There was a nice choice in the buffet although better pest control would have been nice as I often saw flying insects around the food/ salad area. Bruno was great friendly waiter we saw most days (although did not always serve us) he deserves special mention for great attitude and helpfulness. Wet deck was nice, although only had a DJ on one out of the 5 nights we stayed , special shout out to Will from Brazil who was the most attentive pool waiter and made up for some others who were a bit lacking . We hired cabana one day and got the most amazing fruit platter….its def expensive option, Visited Paper moon twice, I can’t fault food I ate, but it was very busy and depending on where your table may influence your experience. Our second visit was faultless. There was a lot of trouble with calzone pizza on our first visit, so give that a miss! Overall great, but wouldn’t take much to make this fantastic!
