Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort

If you have young children then this the hotel for you. We had two children under five and it was perfect. The pools, the food and importantly, the staff were great. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Excellent. Would definitely return.

We had a great trip to Algarve at the Tivoli Avor resort. The staff were superb and always accommodating would like to thank all the staff who were all great but in particular Nicole your a superstar, Daniel another superstar, Parveen the omelette king, Astrid impeccable service and Rodrigo masala tea was great! You are all a huge credit to the team and your professionalism should be benchmarked. Obrigado for everything! Tchau for now

We had a very good time at the Tivoli Hotel. We felt in best hands, especially our waiter Deepak at the Essenze Restaurant did a really good Job. He was very attentive, super professional and had always a smile on his face. Only the DJ Music in the evening was a little bit out of context.

Mixed thoughts on this hotel. Some really good points, firstly the staff are absolutely lovely, very welcoming and after visiting Spain for the past few years so much more friendly and accommodating than the Spanish. I really cannot fault all staff members and they work really hard. The room is lovely although we did pay extra to have a family room, but the rooms all seem to be of a good standard. Bed is a little hard but of a good size. Love the nice touches like the bathrobes and mini fridge, powerful hairdryer, daily bottle of Water and free safe. The maid is also good. The pools are great although we only really used the adult pool due to travelling with a 17 year old. And we never had a problem getting a sunbed around the adult Pool - I could see the other pools were quite busy in half term week. Now the not so good- the food and drinks. The hotel operate a two tier approach with premium plus. Gold bands ensure they get branded alcohol and a separate breakfast bar worth cooked to order omelettes. Also they get a fast track que at the bar. The food from Essenze is the worst I have experienced on an all inclusive and I have been hungry several times here. The biggest problem is the fact it’s cold. The Italian restaurant was nice. Drink wise you have to que and are limited to two per person. I’m used to seeing vending machines for soft drinks at AI - there are none here aside from one in main restaurant. There are drink stations at the pool with a man serving but Limited choice. Asked for a coffee - you have to ask for sugar then just given one.. generally access to drinks is limited which I find odd. It feels like they are trying to keep costs down all the time. I definitely don’t feel like I have had value for money with food and drinks and as such won’t be returning.

We just had an amazing holiday at this hotel. Cannot fault the hotel at all from the cleanliness, to the food & the amazing staff, everything was perfect. We upgraded to premium and it was so worth the money for the excellent choice of drinks, amazing room & especially the premium breakfast - the service was amazing. Shout out to Nicole & Daniel who brought us our daily mimosa & coffee & couldn’t have been more lovely & helpful ☺️ and Paula & Rodrigo doing an excellent job in the kitchen. Especially loved the made to order omelettes. The pools are lovely, 3 big family ones, a separate little kids one & an adults only. We went to the Italian twice & the steak restaurant once & both were great. The bbq during the day was great for snacks by the pool. We got the little train into Alvor which is a nice little resort & it was a lovely walk across the bridge to the beach if you fancy a change from the pool. Highly recommended & we have lovely memories of an amazing week.
