Grand Muthu Forte Do Vale

On arrival to hotel looked really nice, Reception staff very pleasant as we travelled a family of 10 they gave us 3 rooms together and just charged a breakage fee for 1 room instead of 3. We went to our room which was a deluxe one bedroom apartment, well what a let down, the furniture was dated and sofa sunken in middle and ancient disgusting brown rugs in both bedroom and lounge area. After a couple of days of being there we discovered the room hadn't been cleaned at all, beds were made and rubbish taken away but the floors were not swept, hoovered or even washed and this was the case for the full duration, on closer look the apartment was filthy, what looked like blood spatter on wood and filthy cushion on bed (i hate to think what was on it) After about 4 nights i went to put perfume on which i bought in uk airport on way out on to discover this had mysteriously disappeared from my case, i reported to reception staff who commented 'our staff are permanent staff they wouldn't take anything let alone go through cases!' well it disappeared nowhere to be found. Very disappointing stay, felt very mislead with hotel standard not 5* as advertised lucky if a 3* would not return to this hotel.

Unfortunately today's our last day in MGM Forte do Vale, we want to give good thank you, to all the staff at this hotel, because apparently Portugal, Spain and part of France have got a massive black out but they've managed to carry on whole the essentials services like nothing has happened Big thanks to the Resident Manager Miguel Conde for his helped taking our cases down the stairs as usual as the desk staff updating us about the situation We really recommends this hotel for a family holiday, single traveller or any one who wants to have a good time in Portugal Also a big thank to these guys in the main restaurant Thanks MGM Forte do Vale

We've stayed at MGM Grand Muthu Forto do Vale and we had wonderful experiences in this hotel chain really good value for money food very good and staff very friendly specially in the main restaurant 10/10 for (Juana) at the Flavors restaurant Very big thank you to all the staff from Cervantes family from England
