Dom Jose Beach Hotel

Fabulous hotel above our expectations. A friend recommended staying in Vilamoura so pleased I found this hotel in Quarteira which is a 25 minute walk from Vilamoura marina or uber short drive away. Rooms are to a high standard & cleaned daily. Breakfast wide range of choice & delicious. Staff very helpful. I never leave reviews but The Dom Jose Hotel warrants it.

A very good experience again. A good A la carte restaurant would move this hotel to another star. Bath towels could be improved. This is a great hotel in a great location.

Wow wow, love Dom Jose! We came here to celebrate our honeymoon and we were delighted yet again with this hotel; great view to the sea from our balcony, clean spacious room, friendly staff from the front desk to the waiting staff, good house keeping too, lovely pool/bar area literary within 1 minute walk to a golden sandy beach and local amenities. The buffet breakfast has something for everyone's palate. Not surprised about this as we also came here to celebrate my wife's 60th last year, and she has also been to this hotel many years past. All in all a great hotel literally at Quarteria's best beach. Truly recommend the Pelican beach bar opposite the hotel, excellent food and wine (recommend the Vinho Verde and plenty of it!). Try and explore the back streets of Quarteria to find the best local restaurants some of which charge just £20 Euros for a two course meal and local wine...recommend Bambi, Bem Bon and A Cabana. Looking forward to return to this great hotel in the near future...Well done Dom Jose!

Large clean family room, if not huge. Air conditioning, safe, mini fridge, bath robes in the room. Daily cleaning, just put sign on the door handle at time convenient to you. Beds on firmer side, fine with us. Food was tasty and selection had something for everyone in the family. Was able to find free sunbed by the pool any time. Staff was helpful and friendly. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the Dom José. Notes below I suppose are not specific to the hotel but apply gegerally to the holidays in Portugal ocean is probably too cold to enjoy swiming until late summer you have to pay for water during lunch and dinner you have to pay for sunshades on the beach

Been looking for q new spot to stay in the Algarve. This is it. Mordernised hotel in a quieter area , directly on the sea front with great views. Friendly Staff which in turn improves the ambiance. We have wlready booked our next holiday at the Dom Jose.
