Mystique Regis Habana by Royalton

Havana can sometimes be a bit hectic, but the Mystique Habana is the perfect getaway from the city's madness. The hotel is perfectly located between the citi's tourist center (Capitolio/Obispo street) and the seashore (Malecon), and right next to a few museums and bars (Revolution Museum and Sloppy Joe's). The rooms are truly beautiful (and with wi-fi access) and perfectly clean. A shout-out to the whole staff, who are exceptional in every way and who are really there to support you in whatever way they can, including recommending activities in the city with trustworthy collaborators (special thanks to Aine). The hotel also has an amazing terrace where the breakfast is served and where you can order food in the evening for a very good price (please bring a non-US credit card with you).

Architecturally this hotel is lovely with an ‘old world’ feel about it. The view from the roof top dining area is stunning. I understand from the reading information from our travel company that a 5-star hotel in Cuba is not the same standard as in Europe. This was the case in terms of what you could/could not get in the hotel. The room was lovely (first floor), unfortunately ours backed on to the street so it was quite noisy late in the evening or the early hours of the morning. Great shower in the room, good choice of Tv stations and comfortable bed. The cleaning left a little to be desired, a thorough clean to remove the dust would go a long way. Breakfast was ok sometimes the language barrier prevented me from getting what I wanted, e.g. I received fried eggs when I wanted poached. On our first night there we had a lovely pizza for dinner, this was not replicated on our last night: too much tomato and not enough cheese or ham. My husband expressed the lack of quality and taste, it was acknowledged but nothing further happened. I understand due to the ‘situation’ in Cuba that not everything is going to be perfect. However there are small things that can be rectified: cleanliness, responding to clients grievances, that would make this a better hotel. I would revisit if I chose to go to Cuba again.

Lovely trip- Havana is a beautiful city and the people are incredible! The hotel was lovely, beautiful and the service was amazing, I highly recommend it. Havana has amazing culture, the weather is amazing and the food is lovely. I will definitely be coming back!

We stayed for 2 nights in Havana, Cuba at the Mystique Hotel, we absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were so nice and friendly. The room was stunning, we had everything we need. The staff took care of us with water, we had breakfast and it was so lovely and fresh on the rooftop with a fantastic view! We couldn’t be happier, thank you so much!

I have enjoyed this hotel so much. The staff were warm and welcoming. Special shoutout goes to Fernando and Ine (Best Mayordamo). They were very attentive to our needs and ensure we were well taken care of. Love the terrace view (best sunset) and breakfast. Overall, it was a great experience and will definitely come back.
