Hotel Barcelona Apolo, Affiliated by Melia

From the arrival amazing hospitality by Ines at the front desk. We felt very pampered from the very first minute. Thank you also for the GM Nacho and the GEX Belen for the nice touch in the room. Amazing room. Very clean and nice. Awesome breakfast!!

Perfectly place 4* hotel. Clean tidy and fresh. Room was clean and modern with all you need (tea and coffee making facilities and even a complementary soft drink mini fridge!!) Beds and pillows were comfortable. Black out curtains for a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast was amazing. Something for everyone. Plenty of choice. Please ignore any re news that say otherwise!! Omelette and eggs made to order. Fresh waffles and churros to. Couldn't have asked for more!! There is even a gluten free section. 10-15 minute walk to Las Rambla, the marina and the Gothic Quarter and the number 1 hop on bus stop!! Beach 25 mins on the bus from just outside the hotel. There is indeed a lot of construction happening outside the hotel but infact this is all over the place in the city and had absolutely no impact on the great stay we had. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona and after a goid location to the sites. Thank you

Very clean hotel. Lobby staff were incredibly friendly. Room 668 had a small balcony. Aircon is good they recommend to leave a key card in electrical outlet to keep it going during the day. Didn’t eat breakfast there’s a great cafe across the road for coffee and pastries. Ask for restaurant recommendations. Lots of construction going on outside but the room was super quiet. 20 min walk to market or harbour. Really nice place.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from La Rambla and 5/10 minute walk to the pier. Our room was on the top floor, with a great view over the city which we liked a lot! Bathrooms were clean and spacious with an overhead rainfall shower. Loved that water and various juice was given each day complementary - it was refreshing after a long day to come back or in the morning before we left for the day. The breakfast was great, plenty options and a lovely terrace to sit in. The only things I would note for improvement would be the cleanliness of the “not so obvious” places in the room, such as under the bed. TV remote and shelves which were dusty. There is also an automatic tune that plays repeatedly if you leave the TV idle (not turning it off), our next door neighbour in the hotel had left his TV on a high volume and had left his room for hours late at night, we could hear it for hours. Hotel staff did rectify this though after calling reception. Overall, it was a good stay - the staff were lovely and would stay again.

In a war zone with street in front under construction and building next to it under demolitions. I also got charged an upgrade to get the same or worst room I had book… directly on first floor facing the busy and noisy street. How can this be an upgrade. very poor service at the hotel and lots of traffic with airline people also at this hotel. Go find better !
