Excellent refreshing hotel with a very good ambient. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bar is full of live Excellent Breakfast buffet Perfect Gym simple but with very good equipment The pool was closed as was the terraze Overall GOOD

We arrived on a Sunday morning after a flight from Birmingham we arrived around 10.30 . We got the Renfe train from T2 in the airport to Barcelona Sants station which is right over the road. The check is on the third floor and staff were polite. Our room was free so great for us. As o was travelling with my son I had requested twin room and we also had a balcony that faces onto the train station. No noise heard from our room . We were on the 6th floor. We visited the Sagrada Familia and las Ramblas , the famous food market was closed as it was a Sunday. We had some Nachos and a few drinks at the hotel in the evening , we sat outside they had a wrap around balcony around the bar. Monday started well I took a trip to Camp Nou lots of building work but still such a great site. We also went to the zoo again we got on the R2 from the Barcelona Sants. We experienced the national power cut on the Sunday and had to leave the zoo, note to myself, always carry cash, always have a power bank. The hotel kept electricity to its lifts and third floor bar area. The rooms had no electricity. This is where the staff went above and beyond, despite the worry everyone came together. Breakfast was good, good selection of everything . Grab and go shop with basics . Token given to exchange for water or fruit cocktail. Swimming pool was a nice addition due to the sunny skies, some building works made it tricky to get to as they often had barriers up. I would absolutely stay here again, supermarket next door, main train station and metro across the road and lots little bars. Not central but easy to get to everything. Camp Nou took me 10 mins on the tram followed by a 5 mins walk. Gym had some great equipment

Horrible experience. The staff are not helpful, rude and it seems like don’t want to do their job. You can keep calling them but they won’t answer the phone, so might as well get rid of the phones in room if you don’t want to help. The room smells odd. All I have to say is that this hotel is far from 4* I have stayed in a 2* better than this. I would advise to look at other hotels in Barcelona for peace of mind

Pros: Very great location, Staff is great- friendly and professional Cons: Size of rooms (its not the size perse, but the dimensions, very narrow), Elevator gest crowded and is slow, Some strange issues experienced below: Issues: When checked in the hotel, the safe was not working. Called maintenance- lady showed up, opened the door without knocking, said the issues were battery. She called another guy. He shows up, says there is an issue with the safe, but it was not battery. He calls the original lady back up. She realizes it was not battery indeed. Fixes the safe. Interaction took over an hour, where we had to wait in the room, making us late to an appointment with a friend at the other part of town. There is no hot water or coffee in the rooms. Kettle was provided by reception when asked. Ok experience, far from Marriott level.

Hemos tenido la oportunidad de alojarnos en el Hotel Moxy Barcelona, un establecimiento que ha sido completamente reformado. Conocíamos el hotel en su anterior etapa como Expo Hotel, y podemos decir que el cambio ha sido total. Ahora, el Moxy presenta un estilo moderno, funcional y muy bien adaptado a las necesidades actuales. Ayer celebramos un evento en una de sus salas y la experiencia fue excelente: un espacio cómodo, bien acondicionado y con un servicio impecable. Además, varios de los asistentes pernoctaron en el hotel, y el feedback ha sido muy positivo en cuanto a confort y atención. Sin duda, repetiremos en futuras ocasiones. ¡Gracias al equipo del Moxy Barcelona por una experiencia tan agradable!
