Our stay at this hotel was not what we expected, there were several issues that impacted our experience. On arrival at the hotel, the initial room we had been allocated had been crossed out on our paperwork. We were told it was a typo and shown to an alternative room, room 203 which turned out to be dark and dingy - think hostel or faulty towers. In room 203 - the air conditioning was broke, wires for the lamp were taped together, the fridge didn't work and made noise all night, the bath water ran brown. To top it off, we were given two single beds despite booking a double room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The neighbours were partying and arguing until 4 am and the phone to call reception was broke, you had to hold the wire into the handset to enable you to make a call. When we woke up the first morning we went to reception to inform them we were unhappy with the room allocated due to it not being what we had booked nor what was advertised in the brochure, the reception staff informed us that there were no alternative rooms available due to the hotel being fully booked, but assured us we were a priority for a new room if one became available. I contacted TUI in the app to advise the of the room allocation and the problems we had. After a short while we had breakfast and went and sat by the pool, the young man from reception was incredibly helpful and managed to secure us a different room after our TUI rep visited (though it's unclear if this was just a coincidence). The second room we were allocated was 414, it was larger and closer to what we expected from the advertised rooms when we booked. In room 414, the air conditioning didn't work, the shower appeared to be blocked and flooded the bathroom and bedroom, the toilet was faulty and ran water all night (this was reported to reception due to my husband being a light sleeper but nothing was done), and the bathroom ceiling was leaking and dripping on to us when using the toilet. The toilet door could only be closed by slamming it shut, which was extremely disruptive at night and I would imagine this wouldn’t be pleasant for the neighbours either. There were a number of other guests that were also complaining about room issues and had been allocated incorrect room types, some were even charged an ‘upgrade fee’ to change rooms. Now onto the positives, the young man and woman working at the pool bar were extremely hardworking and friendly. The pool and jacuzzi were nice and warm and also appear clean. The cleaning staff are very hardworking and the hotel appears well kempt. The location itself is peaceful (aside from the noisy guests) and it pleasant for a bit of R&R. Breakfast was edible, and lunch was nice, we chose to eat our evening meals elsewhere. We would highly recommend the local taverna ‘Perfetto’ at the top of the hill for authentic Greek food they do an amazing Beef Stifado and their grilled prawns are excellent their customer service is excellent and food and drinks are reasonably priced. We also enjoyed a walk to Porto Roma on the sea front for lunch, which was a highlight of our trip with its beautiful food and view. Overall, we have enjoyed some much needed R&R but unfortunately will not be returning. The customer facing staff were pleasant and the exterior/pool area were appealing, the significant room issues and lack of empathy of the management towards other guests put us off . We hope the hotel addresses these problems to improve the experience for future guests.

Generalnie stosunek ceny do jakości super.

This was our third stay at the Belvedere and another great holiday. This time we went with my brother and sister-in-law and they loved the hotel as well. They have made a few changes since last year and the dining room with new tables and chairs is a positive also they have now made a new sun terrace. A few negatives was that the villa rosa was closed,i missed this as we always liked a late night drink and a chat with George. The other thing was the rooms on the ground floor with terraces are not very good and something the management should address as there was quite a few people moaning about them. Overall we had another wonderful stay at the Belvedere and all the staff who work there are welcoming, polite and friendly. Looking forward to our fourth stay soon!

The overall first impression of the hotel was wow! But my much needed holiday was spoilt a little by the room that we were taken too! It was shocking, dark, dismal, infact depressing …this was on the lower level and looked to me more like a hostel or staff quarters. I needed a balcony as due to lung cancer I have to sleep with the doors open for air to circulate and you can’t do that on this lower level obviously, there was not even a chair for me to sit on to do my hair or makeup, but the worst problem was the only way to get to these rooms were to walk down a very very deep slope! Almost impossible with a lung condition. Needless to say we complained and were told no other rooms were available! So had to stay there on our first night! I was almost in tears and my poor husband had a job trying to get me up the slope to get to breakfast in the morning! We actually made the decision that if they could not change the room for health reasons I would have to leave the hotel! We asked to speak to a manager to explain in detail and was passed from one to another, they offered us another room but again on ground level so I could not sleep with the patio doors open! By the afternoon and feeling very unwell using the slope they eventually offered another room….it was perfect!! And better by miles than the room first offered. It exhausted me packing everything up again and getting sorted in the new room but I was sorted!! Now that was my negative experience now for the positive ! The hotel is in the most beautiful setting, set high but with beautiful sea views ! The reception area is impressive and beautifully kept, the reception staff were very understanding of my needs and my past illness, the breakfast was more than adequate and catered for all pallets, the pool was warm and inviting with very comfortable sun beds and plenty of umbrellas. The pool bar staff are exceptional!! Serving drinks and light lunches , a special mention to Athena with her beautiful welcoming smile……..now upon looking at my paperwork I did discover that They had put me in the wrong room on my arrival as that was a basic double room when I had paid for a double suite!! With a balcony which is what I had paid for so it was there error!! But was corrected. I feel they need to remove these rooms from sale until they are renovated or sell them at a cheaper rate explaining in brochure they are very basic or they will get bad reviews on what actually is a very beautiful hotel!! So beautiful infact that I want to return in September this year for another break. If you want loads of night life, bars and in a large town this hotel is NOT for you but if you want a nice relaxed quiet time enjoying beautiful scenery and eating in some lovely little taverna's then this is the place for you. See you all at Gerakas Belvedere hotel & Spa in September!

Both rooms were dark with poor natural and internal lighting. The quality of the fixtures and fittings in our initial room was extremely poor - chipped/ broken furnishings particularly in the kitchenette area. There was a breakfast bar but no chairs. Bedside lamps were dirty and dusty. Bathroom was in need of refurbishing, rusty taps/shower attachment and not particularly clean. When we returned following a deep clean, the toilet brush had been left in the toilet! but no other evidence of extra cleaning. Both rooms were below ground floor and smelled musty and damp. There was a dehumidifier in the second room. Indeed this room was cold in the night and the air con was off. We 'lost' 3 days of our time as we were having to report back to reception several times a day with false promises that were being moved. We were aware that others were complaining too and no other guests were staying in our original room, despite reception staff initially telling us that they were completely fully booked and ‘impossible’ to move us. Through chatting we became aware that last minute bookings ie 5/7 days notice were provided with better rooms. We did not take up the offer of 50% discount on the spa treatments as it was not something we were interested in.

Generalnie stosunek ceny do jakości super.

Abysmal accommodation - dark, dank and cold rooms. Poor furnishings and general quality very disappointing.

Both rooms were dark with poor natural and internal lighting. The quality of the fixtures and fittings in our initial room was extremely poor - chipped/ broken furnishings particularly in the kitchenette area. There was a breakfast bar but no chairs. Mixed feelings - Nice Exterior - Interior Issues. Potential to Improve.
