A pleasant hotel by nice pebble beach. There are enough sun loungers and beach umbrellas available on the beach, the sea there is clean. The room was cozy and clean. There is a nice staff, managers are always available to supervise the comfort of the guests. The food was very tasty, but there was no allergen labeling. In case of some diet, it is necessary to make arrangements. It is possible to rent a car and go on trips. Expect the possibility of some windy days.

The quality of the hotel surprised and pleased me, and my daughter and granddaughter felt at home. Cleanliness, night peace, quality of food, service, and bar selection, beautiful pool, and well-maintained pebble beach (I recommend water shoes), transparent clean sea water, and sea view from the room, all of which met the expected price-performance relationship, or rather the quality of the services provided. As an experienced traveler (here I also include business trips around the world), I greatly appreciated the atmosphere of the hotel and the approach of its staff. From the reception to the aforementioned bars or playgrounds, it was professional, attentive, friendly, and helpful. Programs and care for children, even very young ones, were, thanks to the lovely Czech animators, meticulous and enthusiastically accepted by the children. The evening program for children and adults was also imaginative and pleasant, thanks to the young French artists, accompanied by great dance routines and music. On the beach, you could pay for all sorts of water attractions, and the staff there was also pleasant and helpful. Even though we experienced about 50 hours of constant strong wind, so typical of the southern part of Crete, we found time to rent a car and visit many pleasant and interesting places, including sandy beaches in the southeastern tip and the eastern coast of Crete. I would also like to highlight the unobtrusive, but friendly and very efficient help of Mr. Stephanos Kaminis, the hotel's Guest Relations Manager. I had not noticed such a function before, but he created a relaxed atmosphere here, and as an expert on local conditions, he helped us, among other things, to choose the best routes for our trips. We will definitely be happy to return to the hotel in the future. Milan

I can highly recommend this hotel as our stay was really enjoyable. Rooms had been already prepared when we arrived so we could enjoy our holiday from the very begining. Rooms were nice and cozy, cleaned everyday. When it comes to the beach, there was no problem with sunbeds availability and the water was crystal clear. Food was delicious, especially desserts. Animations, although mostly in French, were really entertaining. Staff was very helpful. I would like to mention 2 persons: the men who was responsible for keeping the area clean and the manager who helped us when we had an accident and the doctor's assistance was needed.

We spent a week in this hotel in Greece and were genuinely pleasantly surprised. Before the trip, I had read many older reviews, some of which are clearly outdated. Even our travel agent wasn’t very encouraging when we picked this hotel based on our filters, so we went in with low expectations, but ended up having a really lovely stay. It seems the hotel has changed ownership recently, if I’m not mistaken, and you can see that positive changes are being made. After a two-hour transfer from the airport, we were greeted with a welcome drink at check-in, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated after a long journey. The hotel is ideal for families with children who prefer to stay on-site and enjoy the hotel grounds rather than going on day trips. The setting is truly beautiful, surrounded by a well-maintained garden with tall trees, flowering bushes, and many types of plants that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The panoramic view when walking down to the pool, restaurant, and beach area is absolutely stunning. Around the pool, beach bar, and playground, there are shaded areas created from fabric panels stretched across metal frames, which help a lot during the summer heat. Our kids loved the playground, especially the swings, though they were occasionally in high demand. We also appreciated that trained lifeguards were present at all water areas, including the pools, beach, and toboggan zone. It gave us peace of mind, especially with small children. We stayed in a family room with a sea view. As mentioned in a previous review, the room is located slightly below ground level, so the sea view is partial, but still pleasant, with palm trees and flowering plants in sight. Since this is the most expensive room category, the terrace could use some improvement to feel more comfortable and private. A few thoughtful touches would go a long way in helping guests feel less exposed as people walk by. The bathroom was nicely refurbished and included good-quality toiletries. The room had two TVs, though the one in the kids’ area kept loading and didn’t work properly. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it would be nice to have a few Czech-language channels, at least for children (e.g. ČT:D). The biggest drawback for us was the bed. In the parents’ section, the double bed had two separate mattresses with a gap in the middle, which wasn’t very comfortable. I would much prefer one large mattress. The one we had was also quite worn and squeaky, and every small movement made a noise, which wasn’t ideal when sleeping with a toddler. The children’s beds were also quite tired and could use updating. On the bright side, the wardrobe space was generous. While the units were older, they had been freshly painted and served their purpose well. Cleaning was excellent throughout our stay. Although we had read that rooms are only cleaned three times a week, in practice they were serviced daily. This was a relief, as the original information could easily put potential guests off. In a supposedly five-star hotel, regular removal of used toilet paper and towels (including beach towels!) should be standard, and in this case, it was. One small suggestion would be for housekeeping to check and remove any dead mosquitoes left behind by previous guests. There was one thing at night that could be improved: the fire alarm system in the room emitted bright, regular flashes that were hard to ignore and disrupted our sleep. Hopefully this can be adjusted or softened in the future. The food was one of the highlights of our stay. Everything we tried was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Breakfasts included delicious pancakes and waffles, while lunch and dinner offered a nice variety of meat dishes, fresh vegetables, and pastries. One thing that would make a big difference is clearer allergy labelling. My husband has coeliac disease and really missed the usual EU numbering that helps identify safe choices. The wine was very good, and although the soft drinks could be improved, we liked having the option to order espresso or special cocktails not included in the all-inclusive list at the bar for an extra charge, far better than not having them at all. The main restaurant also deserves a mention. It has a stunning sea view and is air-conditioned, which made meals with children much more comfortable. There were plenty of high chairs, and the children’s buffet offered a good variety of kid-friendly meals. One aspect that could be rethought is the animation program. It was clearly focused on French guests, which is understandable, but at times it disrupted the relaxing beach atmosphere. There were moments when the animation team shouted between sunbeds to announce activities, or held parts of the program in the beach bar, which broke the otherwise calm environment. A bit more consideration for guests who prefer peace and quiet would be appreciated. The beach itself is a beautiful Blue Flag beach with small pebbles, clear water, and no road separating it from the hotel, which made it feel safe and private. There were plenty of sunbeds, and the sea was full of small fish, which our kids loved exploring with snorkel masks. The umbrellas could offer better shade and might be worth upgrading. The children’s pool was colourful and well maintained, and the toboggan area ran twice a day for an hour, which kept the kids entertained without being overwhelming. Overall, we had a fantastic and genuinely relaxing week. The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. While there’s still room for improvement, the beautiful surroundings, excellent food, kind staff, and calm beach atmosphere made it a very enjoyable holiday. We would definitely consider coming back.
