Asterion Suites & Spa - by Louis Hotels

Had a fab holiday at this beautiful hotel! I traveled solo and felt very safe here. I emailed in advanced and Demeitre was amazing at making sure I had everything I needed. The hotel was lovely. The pool was gorgeous to swim in and had a range of sun loungers and beds around that you could use. Whilst it was fairly busy I could always get a sun lounger. There was also the beach! My room was great and had everything I needed - Nespresso machine, robes, slippers and a good sized bathroom. Water was left in the room each evening which was a nice touch. I am Ceoliac so need gluten free and could always find something to eat. The salads at lunch time were my favourite- the goats cheese and date salad being one of my favourite salads I’ve ever had! The bar staff were absolutely amazing, made the best cocktails and went out of their was to ensure my allergy requirements were looked after- without even asking. The Margaritas were delicious! A huge thank you to George, Roula, Christos, Tony and Orestis who made my holiday! I was a bit nervous before travelling however this hotel was perfect and really welcoming, I met some really lovely fellow guests as well as getting some relaxing down time. Reception were so helpful as well lending me a replacement pair of sunglasses when I lost them in the sea (top tip- be careful of the waves and currents- they can be very strong) and a plug adapter. I got the bus into Chania which was really easy. There was a bus stop about 30secs from the hotel where a bus goes once an hour or you can walk up to the main road where they are more frequent! Overall a lovely holiday and hotel, I will definitely be back!

We only booked the hotel 3 weeks ago as a last minute break and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the service has been amazing. We chose to go all-inclusive and all the food was excellent with plenty of choice at all meal times. House keeping was also excellent as were the lovely suites. Just wanted to say a special thank you to Goran and Nikos in the restaurant for looking after us this past week. Hopefully see you again in the future

Where to start? We booked for 7 nights late season for a peaceful getaway for two exhausted parents of teenagers.The holiday choice did not disappoint as everything was top notch although weather was touch and go but it was expected as out of season so not as problem in our lives. The hotel is a bit out of Chania but 3 buses an hour was adequate for when we visited, Chania is well worth a visit as it’s a beautiful place and somewhat reminiscent of Venice when your at the port side. The room was to die for! Great bed and lovely sea view as well.The rooms were impeccably clean and the ladies who clean them thoroughly deserve a tip for the hard work and care they give in their role.Breakfast was lovely and very satisfactory and everything was seasoned to perfection.Lunch was always great from the pizza to the beef wraps all to die for but….the tasty prize goes to the not so humble apple pie well this was truly out of this world! Big congrats to the chef.Dinner was buffet unless you booked a La carte which we did once and it was lovely but most evenings we were very happy just to have a small plate of dips, salads & bread and then on to George’s bar for a couple before bed.George is an absolute star! If you get the chance ask him to make you a “Zion” cocktail it’s lush! Now on to the staff who all deserve a massive congratulations for being so lovely and really making our holiday 🥰I’m really bad for names but the lady who looked after us at breakfast was so lovely and friendly she always had a massive smile for us snd and a cheery “kalimera” every morning. We hired a car with another couple and we went to the botanical gardens snd also the gorge as the views are spectacular! All in all I would highly recommend the Asterion. The pool wax also fine as we swam a few times as did others x the sea was lovely snd warm but be careful as the current is very strong and you can quickly lose control.
