The Olivar Suites

This is my second time staying at the Olivar with my husband and it was even better than I remembered. We arrived at the hotel early and while our room wasn’t ready we were able to use all amenities the hotel offers - the gym, spa, beach etc. Check in / out is a seamless process and the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate any request. The beach offers sun beds, an umbrella, towels and beach service that is summoned by the press of a button on the umbrella stand. We booked a two bathroom suite with a private plunge pool and I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s spacious, clean and modern with a private plunge pool that combines the effortless luxury of the hotel with the ambience of Messonghi - it’s simply perfect. Housekeeping is incredible and thoroughly cleans the room everyday as well as during turn down service. Robes and slippers are provided. This hotel is conveniently located on a street that is walkable to shops, restaurants and excursions if you’re looking to do water sports, rent a boat etc. Their breakfast is wonderful. A buffet and a la carte menu so there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone. I cannot recommend this hotel enough to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation. The olivar has perfected the art of quiet luxury. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful hotel! Food and staff were so welcoming and kind. The surrounding restaurants (Kostas and Bacchus especially) were delightful, delicious and friendly. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. The only issue was a minor one, one of the usb plugs beside our hotel bed wasn’t working. but they came and fixed it immediately. The weather was lovely and we had no complaints at all. Thank you to Maria (Russian teacher) and ALL Olivar staff, for making my family feel so comfortable. We will miss you all. Bonus: Whilst there isn’t as much to do in the Messonghi area, that wasn’t an issue for us as we spent our time on the beach, jet skiing and having fun. We also went into Corfu Old Town, which was nice.

The Olivar Suites is a wonderful hotel with lots of added touches that make it extra special. We stayed for 10 nights, the rooms are beautiful and having the outdoor pool is fabulous and private. Staff are very friendly and courteous and the location is ideal with a fantastic setting on the beach and surrounded by lots of tavernas, ( highly recommend the Minore Taverna which was a highlight of our holiday) and shops, so great choices for eating outwith the hotel too. The view from the hotel beach bar is stunning. On arrival we were greeted very warmly in reception then taken by buggy to our room with a tour of the hotel on the way which was really helpful to get our bearings. The restaurant, bar and pool are on the other side of the road next to the beach but not far away at all. On entering the room we were really pleased as it was lovely, there was also a bottle of wine and fruit plate waiting for us which was a fabulous and surprising touch, we unpacked and got settled in however after the first afternoon and following morning sitting outside at the private pool we had a very minor issue with noise as the location of the room was next to a neighbouring hotel and clearly where the cleaners of this hotel all met to get their instructions throughout the day, all talking very loudly so it was difficult to completely relax however we were delighted with the room itself. As a guest you are sent a feedback form by email so I briefly mentioned it on this form and was really surprised as we were immediately called by guest relations, who asked if we would like to move to another room when one became available as the hotel was full at this point. We were really grateful so we were shown a couple of rooms that guests had just checked out of by the lovely Myrto from guest relations , we were then moved to another room which we were absolutely delighted with. The breakfasts were superb with plenty of choice and the staff were so pleasant especially Christaelena who always served with a smile . The bar location is fabulous and again the staff all very friendly with special mention to Helen and Elijah who were very kind and attentive. We ate one night in the restaurant as it was our wedding anniversary and although good it was very pricey compared to other restaurant choices in the area so didn’t go again. As mentioned it was our anniversary when we were there and we were presented with a cake and another bottle of wine in the room with a lovely note from guest relations so that was another fantastic surprise. Another unexpected touch was the night before check out by the turn down service, a Jo Malone gift set was left in the room to take home. One other thing to add, the room has fantastic hair straighteners and a decent hair dryer which is very unusual so no need to pack them when you visit. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel and can’t wait to return in the future.

OMG! What an amazing experience at the Olivar suites! A very well maintained hotel with extremely friendly staff who can't do enough to make you comfortable. The rooms are a very good size with plenty of storage space and 2 TVs. They even gave us a Chrome cast connection so we could watch Netlfix in the evenings!!! The outside private pool area was the highlight of our stay. The pool area was cleaned and very well maintained. A very good quality breakfast with lots of choices and lots of local cafes, restaurants, and shops around the hotel. The whole experience felt very upmarket and value for money. Very good for families, and we would definitely return to the Olivar suites! A very well designed hotel with lots of privacy in our suite! Felt like a little village!!! The Olivar Suites is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at, particularly in Europe. The whole hotel is super aesthetic and the beach is great. We had a Junior Suite with pool which was spotless and very comfortable. The staff are great, especially in the restaurant and on the beach. The location was good for us and there are several causal dining options nearby including Zazu, Bo’s and Delicious Bakery. Despite a great 10 night stay, there are a few things that let the hotel down for us, especially as a 5 star establishment charging a premium for additional services: - The spa treatments/experience was okay, but not worth the €300 we spent for a couples treatment. - The hotels car hire partner rented us a car that was leaking and they refused to give us a partial refund despite us having the car for just 7 hours. - While the breakfast buffet is pretty good, the lunch and dinner at Flya is not worth the premium price tag and we felt everything was under seasoned. - Housekeeping were knocking on our door at 7am one morning. If you’re happy to pay a premium for great food, check out Oribu at Angsana, Brisk in Corfu Town and Oliva in Nisaki.
