On arrival at midnight was helped to check in by Sotiris he even arranged a snack for our arrival which was very welcomed. Dimitris at the bar was always very helpful and courteous and always had a smile for every guest. Thalia the guest service was always smiling and very helpful in advising places to go and see and places not to go to. I always had a giggle with her when she tells me her job is to service the guests. I tried explaining she shouldn’t say that as it means something totally different. The restaurant staff were always pleasant even though some guests thought they were just glorified cleaners. Housekeeping was unable to clean our room unless we were in as the key card didn’t work so we were given a key. Maintenance we were told would repair it in a day or two over a week later still not repaired. The food served is more of a 2 or 3* hotel than a four star. Not even fresh croissant at breakfast just small croissants you get out of a packet. The staff I encountered were all very helpful and polite. I think the background services do not keep up their end as the front of house are very good and cheerful and always try to ensure you’ve had a good stay.

Where do l start the room we got was meant to be pool or mountain views, we got main street views. The double bed was two single beds joined, which would apart, the air-conditioning was not cool enough at all, television stations didn't work, bathroom certainly needs an update and l photos to prove it, asked if we could borrow an iron and ironing board and were told to go down to reception and get ourselves and after doing so l was shocked at the condition of both also have photos.

We arrived for one day, already staying in Corfu island, wanted just to explore Corfu town in the evening without driving back to our hotel that we had for our holidays . 1st no place to seat or a free sun bed. Tables booked for a party , that’s wasn’t mentioned during booking process and I booked a day before arrival . When I mentioned it to the reception:” maybe there is going to be something free soon,I needed to inform you there was a pool etc”. What’s the point to book the hotel if you can’t use it! Water in the pool not filtered , dirty .Haven’t tried the food yet but I doubt it will be any good ! Didn’t see a bottle of wine on arrival either . I wouldn’t give any star, also this isn’t 4 star hotel , would be 3 . Avoid the place . Consider myself lucky that it’s only 1 night and not two weeks at this place
