We are so glad we changed our hotel booking in Corfu from Ikos to Angsana! When we first started to explore Angsana, we were a bit concerned about the price of the villa for 11 nights. We had previously booked villas with a pool in Four Seasons Bali and Thailand at around half the price - so naturally we wondered would the pool villa at Angsana, and the hotel in general, live up to its price and compare well to other hotel chains we frequent like Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons... After spending 11 nights there, I can say comfortably that the pool villa is amazing and outranks even the pool villas of other large hotel chains! The size is huge, the view is amazing and unforgettable, beautifully landscaped, good size pool, and has all the amenities you might need. It's so cozy that after a few nights it's easy to settle in and feel like home that you dont want to leave :). The service is also spectacular - with the whatsapp group quick to answer questions and attend to any request, and to suggest nice areas in Corfu to visit. You never feel they are "selling" or "forcing" any trips on you, which was appreciated. We were constantly impressed by the coordination between the different teams such as housekeeping and room service. Even if you don't stay in the pool villa, the rooms are adequate in size, nicely designed, and majority have an amazing sea view that you will never forget. The beach, while small and rocky (suggest to get some beach shoes), is clean, clear, and full of fish. My daughter spent hours snorkeling. The food at the beach was also very good. Seeing your bill updated daily on the TV was also a nice touch. The hotel is very clean and the staff are all well trained and positive. Never had any issues with service over the 11 days worth remembering. I won't spend too much time on the good stuff - because it is a lot! Don't hesitate, and definitely book here if you are in Corfu and want a luxury stay/holiday. Now let me share some of my suggestions to the hotel, that hopefully if they consider, can make them even better than some bigger hotel chains: - while the food at the 3 restaurants and beach was very good, the quality of food at room service and breakfast is not as good. It can be better and with more options. - not sure how the shower is in the other rooms, but in the pool villa the shower is in the bedroom. So there is little privacy especially if you are with kids. Highly suggest to have some blinds or privacy glass installed (with a switch) on the shower. - the hotel is around 30 minutes away from the old town. So if you plan on using a taxi or Uber it is 40 euro each way. We spent over the 11 nights around 700 euro just on uber transport to the city. Either rent a car or the hotel can offer a free shuttle bus to the city at certain hours and with a pick-up point. - while the spa has many options of treatments and the therapists are very knowledgeable (we even went twice for massages), the ambience is not as good or welcoming as other big chains. Our experience is the therapist usually offers you choices of oils, smells, music, etc and you feel completely detached in a dark room and relaxation area. Here we felt it was a bit rushed, and no proper welcoming or relaxation ritual compared to other hotels spas we've been to. Nevertheless, these are just suggestions - but we still enjoyed every day of our vacation and didn't regret anything. Paid the amount happily :). Best wishes to the hotel and staff on a beautiful and well run hotel.

It’s very rare I use trip advisor but really feel I want to do a genuine review of this hotel. I took my husband as a treat for his 50th and on first impressions I liked it. But we got to the room and had been given the wrong room , we moved the next day so no major issue. The issues were the service at breakfast both mornings we waited 25 mins for our coffees. The breakfast area wasn’t good. It didn’t feel like we were in corfu. I felt I was at a conference in a big hotel. There was nothing Greek about the hotel. I used to live in Corfu and we always stay in the same area in Kanoni which isn’t 5 star but for sure I will never make the mistake of booking anywhere else as what it has is character , warmth and it feels like you’re in Corfu. There was no where to sit around the pool for coffee or drinks you had to be eating to sit in the restaurant. I also felt it was just not genuinely welcoming

The Angsana is a beautiful hotel but not without issues. If you are accustomed to five-star hotels, the Angsana is a good 3-4 star. If you are accustomed to staying in three-star hotels, you will find the Angsana to be a five-star property. It sits on the top of a hill near the village of Benitses which has a dozen or so restaurants, cafes, etc. The hotel offers a shuttle during the day to get up/down the hill which takes about 15 minutes if you walk. It is not fun in 40 degree heat! They do offer shuttles to the village for EU10 each way and it takes just a few minutes. The hotel is beautiful, the common areas are very stylish, the rooms are large and the pool is gorgeous. The “beach” is a small, rocky, man-made area near the hotel’s entrance but once you see it, you’ll likely stay at the pool. The eastern side of Corfu is not known for beaches. Unfortunately the service at the Angsana was not five-stars. The staff are mostly seasonal workers (20-year-old students) and they have not been trained to provide the service one would expect for a hotel charging US$800+/night. Only on our last day was milk brought with my coffee despite asking multiple times. Dirty room service trays were left in the hallways all day long. Staff rarely acknowledge guests when passing by, most don’t smile and few seem happy to be working there. I guess if you are only working there during your summer break, you don’t really care about guests’ experience. There were exceptions, but few and far between. As I mentioned, the pool is gorgeous, but it can become a circus. The staff did nothing to stop kids from taking over the entire area. This was an issue every day we were there. I booked this hotel to have a relaxing, unforgettable holiday but didn’t expect to have a dozen kids screaming, running and falling into guests, moving their chairs, throwing toys, etc. Neither the parents nor the hotel staff did anything to stop it. We were told they are a “Family Friendly” resort and there is nothing they can do about it. You’ve been warned. We were shocked to see the number of families with children here. At the price point, we expected more of a refined, relaxing environment-not Disneyland for the privileged. In short, the Angsana is a beautiful hotel but grossly overpriced for the service level. There are better options in Corfu.

Hugh quality high standard hotel. Maybe the best right now in Corfu. Great restaurants. Great pool area that never felt crowded. Fantastic breakfast with high quality ingredients. Special thanks to Katerina our personal concierge, and to Christos an Asif, whom with their helpfulness and Corfu tips, helped make our third Corfu vacation the best yet
