Secrets Tides Punta Cana

We enjoyed our stay at secrets tides we had preferred swim out in the waves building so much sun loves it we never once seen our shared pool neighbour once 8 nights 9 days we are frequent travelers to the Dominican Republic so we knew summer has the seagrass but it didn’t ruin our vacation we enjoyed all the a al carts least favourite was Mexican never ate at the buffet so can’t comment about that all the bars where fantastic but the preferred Bar in the opposite building was the best hands down This resort is still very new well kept amazing staff but it’s boring same singer all the time (and sorry but she wasn’t very good and can’t take I. The spot requests and they need to practice) evening shows where also geared for 60 and up in my opinion we late 40s Just needs more lively our butler was amazing we really didn’t use him often but he did do a wonderful job Juery Sport bar you can make the fun at least I tried some nights had a little too tequila but hey what’s happens in the island stays I the island thank you secrets tides for a wonderful stay Oh and we lived the beach Cabanas so much we rented them twice

This property is amazing. However we did experience some rain weather, but that’s due to the timing which we went over. All the property is a five stars and the restaurant also have a great menu selection

At check in 8/11/2025 we arrived and immediately was told to get a upgrade to be a preferred member. We did not accept. At this time would have a great time to tell us about not having access to the beach because of the sargassum. We didn't find out until we went to the beach that evening. 2 days later the tractors 🚜 and workers started working on the beach. Upon trying to enjoy the lounge chairs at the beach the vendors who are locals try to sell you massages, pictures with parrot 🦜 , wind chimes and bracelets. They are about 7-8 people harrassing you to buy stuff every day. The hotel don't allows those vendors to go on the preferred side at Secrets but the regular side you will catch them harrassing you aggressively. It was disappointing enough not to be able to swim in the ocean but it was worst not to be able to relax on the beach.

I stayed at Secrets Tides in Punta Cana from August 15–18. The hotel itself was great, but the food was awful. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re sensitive to food taste.

Best resort we've been to so far. Food was especially amazing compared to other all inclusive. Staff was great and always quick to help out. The perfect resort for a relaxing stay. Had some good shows at night. The resort was still very new at the time of our stay and it was great to be at a place with very little wear, tear, and age.
