Fantastic hotel! Anyone wanting to visit sunny beach id highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect the rooms are spacious and modern and the food is excellent with so much choice. The staff are always there to help. One or two of the reception staff came across as abrupt at time but this was a very small minority most where excellent and would go out of their way to help you honestly the people in Bulgaria are lovely friendly and made us feel truly welcome in their country.

We stayed at Hotel Marvel in July with our family. Overall, our impressions were mixed — there are many good things, but also disappointing aspects. Pros: Spacious, modern hotel with a fresh renovation feel. Lots of light and open space. Large, clean rooms with great ventilation and individually controlled air conditioning. Comfortable beds and clean linens. Very varied food selection, great for families with kids — pasta, fries, nuggets, even baby food jars. We loved the live cooking stations during meals. Themed dinner nights (Italian, Mexican, Bulgarian, etc.). Private beach within walking distance. Fun and energetic animation team. Currency exchange, hair salon, spa available (though poorly promoted). Cons: – No proper orientation or information at check-in. We didn’t get directions to the beach, dining areas, spa, cleaning schedule, or anything else. Just a printed meal schedule. – Reception staff seemed cold and unwelcoming. – Iron was provided only the next day after asking, and the staff member was rude. – Cleaning policy unclear — for two days, only the trash was taken. Full cleaning happened only after we left a tip. – Only two towel sets were given, even though we were three guests. – No safes in the room. Sadly, after returning home, we noticed my husband’s gold chain had been switched. – Hot dishes at the buffet were often lukewarm or dried out. – Alcohol was poor quality — beer was watery, wine sour, cocktails full of artificial flavoring. – Beach sunbeds were "reserved" early in the morning with towels, but people didn’t show up for hours. – Smoking is allowed almost everywhere outside, and the beach was littered. Not enough bins. – The spa was disorganized — we were double-charged and had to deal with the issue ourselves. – There was no real kids’ playroom as shown in photos — just an empty hall with some activities by animators. – Pool water was freezing. – Lots of unfinished details in construction: loose taps, no shower curtain, messy paintwork. Suggestions for improvement: • Provide a guest brochure with key information. • A welcome bottle of water in the fridge would be appreciated. • Implement a sunbed reservation policy. • Train reception staff to be more welcoming. • Focus on quality over quantity in food and drinks. • Create separate smoking areas. • Heat the pool slightly — especially for kids. The hotel has potential — with a few improvements, it could offer a truly pleasant stay.

When taking, you had to make sure there were no food leftovers 6. Adaptability for children with strollers 1/10, there is no access to the pool from the lobby. You had to carry the stroller by hand all week. 7. Elevator 1/10, completely out of order, you had to wait 15 minutes. Our room was on the 1st floor, which corresponds to a 3rd floor, it is very difficult to carry a stroller up the stairs, so we got very tired of the elevator. So if you are with small children, do not take this hotel. 8. There is no non-smoking area outside the dining room. During the meal, a group of people will smoke next to your baby. I really did not like it!!! 9. No water bottle in the room. 10.Emty mini bar.

We stayed in Hotel Marvel for 5 nights. We did not know what to expect of Bulgaria. We feel this hotel will make us reflect badly of this holiday. Bulgaria itself was beautiful and the beaches and weather were amazing! We did the Khans tent experience and the VIP catamaran trip which was fantastic. Two great evenings However, the hotel let us down. Advertised as a 4* hotel is a farce especially for the price we paid, we feel slightly ripped off. Good things- 1. The staff at the Bar were terrific, very helpful and caring. 2. The quality of the rooms were good and the balcony was great. 3. The beach access is great and we spent most of our time here. Bad things- 1. The food lacked variety and tasted quite bad. My girlfriend was preferring to eat cup noodles from the local shop everyday. 2. Apart from the first evening with the two young gentlemen, the service at reception was terrible - one of the worst I have experienced. I don’t know if it is the language barrier but we felt they were very unhelpful and couldn’t care less about us. 3. I don’t know if it is the same for other rooms but, our Aircon did not go below 22.5 degrees even though on the remote it says it can go to below 16. A temperature around 20 would’ve been perfect. During the night, for us, 22.5 can this can be quite warm and sweaty in this summer heat. We went to reception twice about this and both times they said they would fix it. We then went a third time and they said ‘it’s automatic, nothing you can do’. It felt like we were chasing them for this instead of them getting back to us. They then both shrugged very rudely like it was our fault! 4. The lifts were very small, meaning we had to wait for a few of them to pass before we could get into one. 5. The Wifi is shocking, don’t bother even trying unless you have a good data package. It does not work in the bar very well, it doesn’t work at all by the pool or in the restaurant. It is very on and off in the room too. 6. Weirdly we had to pay a cash deposit for towels? We thought this was very odd as nothing else was cash. All in all, we would not stay here again and have been very disappointed with Hotel Marvel.

The hotel was nice. Exactly what we wanted. We had all inclusive and everything was included in the price. No complaints, the food, especially the fresh salads, were great. The meat dishes were also tasty. The fish dishes were often a bit dry. However, the selection was wide, there was something for everyone. The hotel and the room were quiet. The air conditioning worked well and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel was not too crowded, there was no need to wait for anything. Even at the pool there were always some free sun loungers. The other tourists were mainly from Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania. Really nice and peaceful.
