Hotel Alpina

After 31 visits to the Alpina we decided to put our experience on record! First visit was in 1994 and latest January 2025. The reason for reviewing now is because the Hotel is at its absolute peak, it's always been exceptional in every respect but our latest 2 weeks were out of this world. The reason for this review is mainly to praise the staff who in every way do their utmost to provide a great holiday experience. From the moment you walk through the door you're greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Thanks to Laura for going above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and fulfilling our every need, you're a true asset to the business. Marsel the food and beverage Manager makes everything run like clockwork in the Bar and Restaurant, thanks for the wine recommendations Marsel, same next year please! When it's time for a after ski/pre dinner/post dinner drink retire to comfortable lounge bar where you will be attended by Istvan, Ilyas and the team, the best bar staff we've experienced in 30 years! The food is outstanding (Close to Michelin star standard), restaurant extremely comfortable with outstanding service, thanks Christos for providing the best service we've ever experienced. Everything about this Hotel and the way it is run is exceptional. Access to the slopes is 30 steps from the boot room, little or no queues at the lifts, numerous quality mountain restaurants, varied pistes if not extensive but totally adequate for intermediate skiers, guaranteed snow due to cannons. In summary if you are looking for a ski holiday in an outstanding Hotel with top service, quiet pistes, snow sure, outstanding views then the Alpina ticks all the boxes.

The staff make every effort to meet your needs. The fine dining is amazing. A shuttle bus every 15 minute takes people to the main ski lifts although they can be skied to starting from close to the hotel. The whole set up has been carefully thought through through many years of experience. I would return to the same hotel.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a family ski holiday. Spotlessly clean, amazing staff, fabulous food and great service. Our daughter loved the kids club and we all enjoyed the spa facilities. Skiing was made easy by taking the minibus each morning to the lifts/ski school. There’s plenty of decent skiing, suitable for families. As others have mentioned, the hotel is warm. Our room window was often open and certainly no jumpers required! We really hope to return next year!
