LUX* Marijani Zanzibar

Hotel dobry, ale na pewno nie zasługuje na 5 gwiazdek. Pokoje duże, czyste, perfekcyjnie sprzątane. Nam, niestety, trafił się pokój na tyłach kompleksu z widokiem na drzewa i toczące się prace budowlane w sekretnym ogrodzie. Wcześnie rano budził nas hałas z budowy. Na terenie hotelu piękna, zadbana zieleń i piękna, strzeżona przez ochronę plaża. Jedzenie dobre, ale na pewno nie wyśmienite. Jedna restauracja z małym wyborem jedzenia, jeden bar. Zamawiając drinka zastanawialiśmy się czy aby na pewno jest to napój alkoholowy, bo nie czuliśmy w nim procentów. W barze przy basenie dostępna tylko słaba pizza czy hot dogi. W ciągu dnia, między posiłkami, brak dostępu do wody butelkowanej na terenie hotelu. Wystawione dwa szklane baniaki na plaży "the water detox", do której dla urozmaicenia wrzucano plastry ogórków, limonki czy grejpfrutów. Zdecydowanie nie wrócimy do tego hotelu i nikomu go nie polecimy. Stratą pieniędzy jest wykupienie opcji all inclusive, bo ta formuła jest w tym hotelu tak słaba, że lepiej wykupić opcję ze śniadaniem lub dwa posiłki. Będzie taniej, bez poczucia tego, że mocno przepłaciliśmy. Żałujemy swojego wyboru, zdecydowanie nie polecamy ze względu na cenę. Byliśmy rozczarowani. Wymeldowanie o godzinie 11, proszę pamietać, że po tej godzinie zapłacicie za każdy zamówiony napój. W dobrych hotelach takie historie się nie zdarzają. Tuż obok jest resort, który prowadzi zupełnie inną politykę wobec swoich gości.

Wspaniały , komfortowy hotel, gdzie można naprawdę odpocząć , czuć doskonale zaopiekowany przez zawsze życzliwy personel. Wspaniały ogród, zadbana plażą, basen i miejsca do wypoczynku. Komfortowe, zadbane i zawsze czyste pokoje. Przepyszne jedzenie. Polecam gorąco.

Piękny hotel. Super obsługa, wszyscy uśmiechnięci co wydaje się szczere. Menadżer który pilnuje najmniejszych detali. 5 gwiazdek w pełni zasłużenie. Eksploracja plaży niestety jak na całej wyspie praktycznie niemożliwa z uwagi na miłych lecz namolnych beach boyów ale ochrona pilnuje żeby na plaży hotolewoj był spokój i odpoczynek. Jedzenie w większości tutejszej kuchni przez co trzeba lubić te smaki, zawsze jest jednak jakaś bezpieczna alternatywa. Nie ma problemu z leżakami czy ręcznikami, nie trzeba walczyć o miejsce o 6 rano:D pokoje bardzo ładne, duże, przestronne. Wieczorem panie szykują pokój przeciw komarom oraz zaciągają moskitiery przy łóżku. Jeśli jedziesz z dzieckiem personel bardzo ochoczo się zajmie dzieckiem żebyś mógł zjeść.

The experience was simply amazing!!! the staff members were very professional, yet very friendly. Proactive and always willing to help- even with issues outside their areas of work. this is one holiday we will never forget. Really! it was just Excellent.

Currently staying at Lux Marijani and while it has good points, it really needs to get the basics right to call itself a 5 star resort. Our room is very nice and very quiet. However, the day we checked in, one of the bedside lightbulbs was out and one of the robes had a gaping hole in it. Since the day we arrived I could smell a stale unpleasant smell in one area of the bathroom but couldn’t work out where it was coming from. Tonight I realised the large bath mat along the floor by the vanity unit smelt like it hadn’t been washed in some time. While these are minor points, they are not ones you should find in a 5 star hotel. These issues were rectified quickly when raised with reception, however guests shouldn’t be finding issues such as these. While the staff are very friendly there does seem to be communication issues. Regularly given food menus and asked if we are ready to order without being offered a drinks menu. Servers introduce themselves as your server but you don’t see them again for the service. Tonight in the main restaurant we ordered 2 starters that came as expected and were very tasty. We both ordered the same main course of cacio e pep pasta. However, the server brought out one dish of cacio e pep and the other she informed us was a ‘vegan version, spaghetti in tomato sauce’. I’m at a loss how the order was confused, the tomato vegan version isn’t even listed on the menu! After trying to explain this, another version of cacio e pep arrived but it was two different dishes at this point and clearly hurriedly put together. My husband ordered the fruit platter with lemon sorbet for desert, a fruit plate arrived but no lemon sorbet and no mention of why it wasn’t served. At this point we were beyond trying to ask what had gone wrong. Again, not what is expected at a 5 star resort. We have previously stayed at Lux South Ari Atoll and as many previous reviewers have noted, they are worlds apart. Perhaps we were spoiled by South Ari but Lux management needs to market this property at the level it really is, 4 stars at best.
