The Cross Hotel

My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Cross Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They would arrange taxis and gave great recommendations for restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well appointed. We liked that the location was outside of the busy city center and in more of a residential neighborhood. If you bought the Omnia Pass, a pick up location and bus stop is only a 10 minute walk away. Some reviews mentioned that the area looked a little rough, but we didn’t think it looked any different from other areas of Rome. If you are unaware, Rome is covered in spray paint and there are some homeless around (even outside the walls surrounding the Vatican). We felt safe and would absolutely stay here again.

Great Hotel , booked last minute and no problems with the reservation or anything , great location only 10/20 minutes walk from colosseum , helpful staff , Bartender was incredible, good chats , helpful with what drinks we wanted and all round great guy and great worker , outside hotel was quite sketchy , few homeless people here and there but no problems really , definitely recommend

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Though some of the staff are very helpful, the bar tender, especially, is not interested in serving customers. I stood there waiting to ask for something while he continued chatting with a friend or colleague. I also asked for a breakfast carry-out, but it didn't materialize. The location is a little far from the train station, and there are no toiletries except for a body wash/shampoo. There are some steps to navigate inspite of the elevator taking us to our room.
