Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square

I don't understand how this is a 4 star hotel. Yes it looks wonderful when you step in but the rooms we had were like box rooms and we had to walk sideways to go from 1 side to the other. 2 beds in the room were pushed up next to each other, no space between them

Room ok. Staff ok. Lots of fun kid just standing around vs helping customers Elevators a mess. Restaurant on 5th floor. Mornings were a mess getting to lobby as they appear to dedicate one elevator to restaurant. You must come to lobby and go back up.

Booked this hotel on a 3 day break together with breakfast. Based in a good place in Times Square and was lucky enough to have a quiet room on the 37th floor. The room was very clean and a really comfortable bed. The only downside was the queuing for breakfast which took a bit of time and negotiating the lifts to get downstairs to the lobby. Having said that, breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice each day. The bar in the hotel was nice to come back to after an afternoon/evening out with friendly staff on hand. Checking in and out was quick and efficient. Would recommend this hotel if you want to be in a central location and also close to the Subway.
