Holiday Inn Manhattan 6th Ave - Chelsea

We spent 4 nights at this Holiday Inn in Chelsea, and it was perfect for our needs. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was a bit on the smaller side, but clean and comfortable and we liked it, the bed was GREAT, the daily service was unobtrusive and good. The thermostat worked well and we had control over the room temp, which as we all know can be an issue. We'd come home from a day of exploring the city, tired, and our bed would be neatly made, everything that had been asunder folded, new towels. I liked that there was a QR code and the name of the housekeeping person, so we could use that to leave tips for them. The front desk held our bags when we arrived, since we came well before checking; and upon our departure, since we had some time to kill before leaving for homebound transportation. Everyone was nice, it felt like the people working there were engaged and worked well together (not always the case), the property met our needs, and we would stay again. Location was ++ for us. Many restaurants, public transportation, easy access to what we wanted. Happy customers.

One of the best locations in town, Chelsea is a perfect neighborhood to stay, quiet, full of excelente restaurants and for me, perfect to work. Front desk staff is amazing, very professional and nice, taking care of every single detail during our stay. Than and Saumi are the really best, and thank them for a wonderful stay. The bed is perfect, but the room very small with lack of space to accommodate somos essentials ( a couple of drawers won’t be bad). Towels, toiletries and the shower are perfect. In spite of the above room is very comfortable Staff in the breakfast room are also very nice, and took excelent care of us. Definitely, is my prime choice for future trips. Thanks all the stuff for such a wonderful stay!

We’ve been to NYC multiple times and stayed all over the city but this was the first time here. The location is great for getting uptown or going downtown. There’s a subway line on either end of the street within a few blocks. It was easy taking the bus/subway from LaGuardia to this location. The staff was extremely helpful including when we had to change rooms due to a water leak. They found us an identical room on a different floor and even gave us a complimentary breakfast at the hotel for our trouble. Checking in and out was easy and the staff was not uptight or finicky. We had two double beds which isn’t easy to find in NYC for a good price anymore. The beds were comfortable, great pillows. Room was the typical small NYC room but had a small closet to hang clothes, a safe, a nice TV, a desk, and small luggage rack. The bathroom was small like most NYC hotels but it seemed modern, clean, everything worked well, towels were nice and thick and plentiful. It was a great experience. Don’t come to NYC thinking you’re going to get space and a soundproof room unless you are willing to pay A LOT of money. It’s Manhattan so appreciate it for what it is. This location does not have a free breakfast which was fine. We’ve stayed at other NYC hotels with a free breakfast and it’s usually a madhouse. It’s not worth the hassle and the mediocre free breakfast food you typically get. Save some money on your room and go grab a bagel or a quick bite in any of the nearby delis or markets if you want breakfast. They do have free coffee and hot tea in the lobby although there was only hot water for the tea at night. The rooms have small Keurigs with a few K-cups from 8 o’clock coffee. We used that for coffee in the evenings and it was fine. This hotel has recently been remodeled. They will store your bags for you if you arrive early or need to check out and explore the city before you depart. There is a great pub just a few doors down and the hotel sits in the middle of 26th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. It’s a short walk up 6th to reach Herald Square and Macy’s. It’s a short walk up 7th to reach Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Again, the subway lines are convenient to the hotel to take you anywhere in Manhattan, the other boroughs or the airports. Definitely would consider staying here again.
