5. Ambiance was breathtaking,love the flowers which were all over especially room areas.also their garden area with herbs.enjoyed the outdoor shower in our room. The room was very clean, had Ac and fan for making it cool since Seychelles is hot.loved their seafood pizza,at the restaurant next to the beach.loved everything about it, the staff were welcoming,everything was perfect.

The hotel is beautifully designed, has great facilities and easy access to the beach. However we struggled with the staff. We emailed ahead of time to secure a late check out as our flight had been moved very late. We were told on email this was confirmed. We then confirmed it again when we checked in which we were told was fine. Come the day of check out, nobody informed us but apparently it was never confirmed (even though it was in writing) and nobody had a clear idea of why or what had happened. Now we suddenly need to rush out by midday. The receptionist was unhelpful, and said she couldn't help us in any way. She said there were no other rooms available (even though we could see many on their website) and continued to repeat at me 5x that 'I said it was subject to availability' as if I could not understand English. We went round in circles until she understood that it wasn't that I didn't understand her, but the fact she had never said this to begin with. Why we were debating a written email which has evidence is beyond me. Even though it was completely the fault on Marriotts side, they offered no refund, no alternatives, no gesture of goodwill, nothing. They were very carefree about a situation that for us, was quite stressful, as we had planned a whole day of activities/tours on our previous understanding of the room check out. I would say it might be part of the Marriott but it doesn't fit the customer service you would expect to find there. If you're just going to be in and out it's a great place, but if you need anything extra it's not the one.

Laila Resort is truly exceptional. We had an incredible two-day stay, and every detail was meticulously taken care of. Housekeeping here is flawless, leaving no room for error. The two on-site restaurants are outstanding, offering delicious food that exceeded our expectations. The buffet is good, but it could benefit from a little more variety to make it truly remarkable. Café de Creole, on the other hand, is fantastic with not only incredible food but also top-notch service that really enhances the dining experience. One thing to note is that taxis in Seychelles can be quite expensive, so we highly recommend renting a car during your stay to make the most of your time here.
