We stayed at this hotel for two nights spread out and found that it had some nice options but also a few issues. What we liked is that it is on the beach with chairs and it has a really lovely pool. The food we thought was good and they have really great desserts. The price seems reasonable and it's located close to the market for walking options. What we didn't like is that it is very noisy since one night the band played until after midnight and you can hear it loudly. There were also some small bugs on the sheets and pillow cases that we were not sure about and a lot of things appear to be broken or not fixed in different rooms - from a lock to air conditioner, etc. It seems as if they need to take more care to fix up the rooms and keep them in good repair. They do handle issues if you have one.

We visited Le Saly Hotel during the height of the Senegalese hot season and found the accommodations extremely pleasant. The hotel faces the ocean and often receives nice breezes. The room was air conditioned and the bed was comfortable. Hotel staff seemed to go out of their way to make our stay as nice as possible. A good family-friendly resort.

The hotel is situated on the beach, and the swimming is good. We were on the full-board option, and we were given green bands locked onto our wrists. The food was good, although a bit boring, and you can eat at both the le Saly hotel or the next door Filous hotel. The problem was that the drinks on the full-board package are not too good... Gazelle beers in small glasses ( not allowed to take a bottle), wine by the glass only, and cheap spirits. If you want a reasonable whiskey, you must pay extra. So too for decent cocktails. If possible, I'd recommend the half board, and you buy your drinks yourself, and you have a better choice. Rooms are comfortable, but we were woken in the small hours by a kitten screaming as it was killed by one of the resident Water Monitors that live in the gardens. If you want shade on the beach, go early and book your spot by spreading your towels over the recliner. Some of the people had their towels under "their" tree, and only went there occasionally, while we battled to find shade from the little thatched umbrellas. I thought that was quite unfair. The hotel does not have a shuttle service to the airport, so you need to arrange a private person to drive you. Overall, not too bad, but it could be so much better.
