Gala Placidia

We stayed for a week at the Hotel Placidia Gala and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the room service was very good. Clean towels every day and the room was always left clean and tidy. Would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a perfect location away from the all the hustle but only a short walk to everything too. Its very clean and the cleaners work so so hard, the food could be warmer and there isn't the biggest selection but you will find something to eat that you like, breakfast was best for me and the scrambled eggs were very nice! I think the timings to eat were a little off too. Most staff were friendly and the lady at the pool bar in the day was lovely, she was our favourite along with a small gentleman in the restaurant. Our room was basic but nice and spotlessly clean, I found the mattress to be very comfortable and the aircon worked very well. We stayed on the 5th floor and on some nights the walls are very thin and people can be so so loud and kept some of us awake. The Con's -The entertainment is zilch and really lets the hotel down, we have never been so bored on a trip, only on 2 occasions did we see someone around the pool asking if we wanted to play pool and darts which lasted about 20 minutes and that was it, there's not even a bit of music played. My biggest complaint would be that you are not allowed to use the all inclusive after 12 in the afternoon. Now I know that people can take advantage of all inclusive but we barely drank alcohol and manly had soft drinks and to be told that you were not allowed even a coffee at 12pm is disgusting, especially when you are not being picked up until 6pm. I have never ever ever been refused lunch on an all inclusive or drinks if our flight is a little later and this not made clear when booking, one of our party didn't bring lots of money with them as they thought lunch would be provided so was upset that we had to pay for her, some people are on a budget and this needs to be considered. We had to take all our cases and go and sit in a bar with them in the afternoon to eat and have a soft drink before our flight, not something I'd like to do again. The above really lets the hotel down and for that reason I would not return, I believe this needs to be looked at.

Lovely clean rooms, cleaned daily with fresh towels. Views of the pool and the lovely garden. Food was great and plenty of choice. First time staying at this hotel and I would definitely stay again. The pool area was well maintained plenty of sun lounges. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel bar staff were very polite.

Excellent clean rooms hotel perfect for food and location friendly staff lovely cleaning lady who did an excellent t job daily pool perfect for lazy days all inclusive good short walk to beach and shops beds very comfy and I’m really choosy with hotel beds

Came here with two of my friends for a girls trip Had an amazing time and staff were lovely especially the man behind the bar that served us sex on the beaches all week!😂 Only complaint is that the walls of the rooms are very thin and we had the maids banging on our doors around 9:30am the day we were checking out when we only needed to check out at 11am. Overall great, would definitely come back again for another girls trip.
