The hotel itself is beautiful to look at, clean and all looks well maintained. We had a room with a private pool, this was lovely apart from its not that private. To the side of the seating area it’s not private there are wooden slats so you can see into the next patio/private pool. Additionally the pools are essentially one across four rooms so if you have kids who like to jump in it ripples throughout the who pool for other guests. We unfortunately had a family next to us that tutted every time my son was in the pool. The main pool is really quiet as most people use the pools nearest their rooms so there was no atmosphere and if you have kids there wasn’t anyone else to play with. This isn’t a resort for kids that are too old for the kiddie area. The food was the biggest issue. If you enjoy your food and it makes up a big part of your holiday avoid this hotel. The food is basic, very limited selection basic salad and truly limited if you have allergies. The drinks at breakfast were awful watered down squash and coffee was awful services by a waiter which I think the hotel believes this adds a special element but seriously it needs a self service coffee machine with more choice. If you want a good coffee you have to pay about four euros for one which is pretty poor. The food is 3 star at best. Overall this is an expensive hotel that is set in beautiful grounds and rooms are lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful but the food and drink is basic at best and it’s not really a family hotel and lacks atmosphere.

Me and my partner stayed at the Utopia Blu hotel for a week during October this year, to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived mid October, and the weather was better than expected! Warm, with only one cooler day whilst we were there. On arrival, we were upgraded (this was totally unexpected considering I emailed beforehand only requesting a room overlooking the adults only pool). We were given a Junior Suite with Private Pool. This was a lovely surprise and really set the tone for the rest of our holiday. The room was exceptionally clean, with the standard being high from the get-go. The sports facilities in the hotel were great. We used all of the sporting courts (tennis and paddle), and we also played table tennis. Booking the courts out was extremely simple, all you need to do is visit reception and give your room number. Definitely worth a try if you are a family, as it’s lots of fun! The spa was lovely and relaxing. I had a 30 minute Swedish massage, and Irene (if I remember right) was amazing! She made me feel super comfortable and she was genuinely lovely. I was able to use the facilities after my massage, so that was a nice touch. My partner didn’t have a massage and wanted to try out the steam room and pool, so I would just keep in mind that you need to pay otherwise. He paid €20 to use the spa, and this was valid for the whole day, which was good. You can either pay this in the spa, or you can opt to have the charge added to the room. We were well looked after you whilst we were there, with the spa manager bringing us bottled water whilst we were sat beside the pool. We found this to be such a nice touch. Entertainment wise, we didn’t sit by the main pool at all to really know what was on offer. We heard the music playing and we saw the odd aqua aerobics taking place, however we didn’t get involved. I know the entertainment is a little more low-key, so if you’re looking for something more lively, take this into account. The best night for me was Greek night, it was great! Overall, the entertainment was good. Food wise, we really enjoyed the main buffet! It was great, especially when it came to themed nights. The Asian buffet was our favourite, it was absolutely lovely and had so much choice. A really good selection of food each night, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast time was lovely too, the chefs were great and always said hello. Lunch time was lovely too, with there being a nice choice. We absolutely loved the crepes stand! We really enjoyed them, and definitely recommend trying. A La Carte wise, we preferred the Italian restaurant. We felt it had a nicer atmosphere, and the food was lovely. Service was a bit slow with the drinks, it did take around 20 minutes from being seated to actually being served. The Elia Restaurant is adults-only (something like aged 16 and over). We found the food to be good, but the service again was slow, it took a long time for drinks to be served and the atmosphere wasn’t the best. Booking the a la cartes was easy, with a booking system in place outside the main buffet restaurant. The beach was lovely. A nice section of sand. We only went a few times, we walked it and also went via shuttle. The walk roughly took us 25 minutes, which wasn’t bad and we didn’t mind walking to the beach. The shuttle was also great. Definitely recommend, especially in the peak months of July/August, as I can imagine it is a long walk when it’s 35° and hotter! The location of the hotel was amazing for us. The hotel was close to shops, bars, restaurants, and this meant if you wanted to go out for food, it was so easy. There is also a supermarket across the road, which was super convenient. Not only this, but the hotel was close to the airport, Kos Town, Zia. It was amazing when we went on trips as we were never far from some must-see locations! Bars wise, the lobby bar was impeccable for service. A special mention to Maria, who was absolutely lovely. She was so friendly and was very attentive. As soon as we finished a drink, she was over for our next order. She was always happy and smiling, and she definitely made a mark on our holiday! We also received a few special touches in our room. We had a lovely cake saying happy anniversary and a note from the hotel. The cleaning staff decorated our bedding too. These gestures happened on different days, so it was absolutely amazing and really made us feel spoilt! These touches were perfect, and we have so many memories from our stay. I have stayed at 5-stars before, and they don’t even come close to the way we were treated here at this hotel. My biggest positive is just how well we were treated as guests, our stay just felt extra special from beginning to end. On a side note, I definitely recommend going to Kos Town, Zia, and the Asklepion remains. These trips were super lovely and the pickup from the hotel was so easy as we booked through TUI. Lastly, the app you can download at the hotel is super great, it shows you what themed buffet night it is, entertainment for the day, spa treatments etc. I also recommend booking the a la cartes on the first night, it just means you have the meals booked and you don’t miss out! Overall, our stay was unforgettable. It was definitely worth the money, and I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is thinking of booking!

Heerlijk rustig in het adult only gedeelte. Heel schoon, redelijk lekker eten, zwembaden veel te koud maar een fijn strand op een kwartiertje lopen waar je voor een tientje per dag 2 stoelen plus parasol/ windscherm huurt. Prachtige tuinen. Grote supermarkt tegenover de receptie.
