Hotel Am Konzerthaus Vienna - MGallery by Sofitel

Great breakfast but insufficient tables. Internet awful, I had to go to the lobby to get a decent signal. Decor, eclectic but very dark. No drawers, even in a superior room, which meant living out of a suitcase for 10 days. Staff helpful and location reasonably central but long walk to the Opera house etc.

On check in we were asked to provide a credit card for 100 euro deposit which would be refunded upon check out. When checking out reception confirmed there were no charges and the amount will be refunded. When I checked my credit card a few days later the hotel had charged me 294 euros!! Upon querying, Hotel Am Konzerthaus Vienna say there is a fault with their new system and cannot explain to me how there were 4 unallocated charges amounting to a total of 294 that should NOT have been charged to me in the first place. Very suspicious activity and no accountability from the hotel. Over 3 weeks now and the hotel still has not resolved. I have had to contact my credit card provider to resolve the incorrect charges myself, extremely unprofessional and suspicious in my opinion.

Nice hotel; our room was on the first floor and very noisy in the morning! on our third night there were work/digging on the street that made it imposable to sleep, at midnight I found out that that work will be all night long so they moved us to a courtyard room in the back of the hotel that was quite and also bigger!

We had a very good stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. Breakfast was superb, with a great selection and high quality presentation. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, though not quite as luxurious as another M Gallery property I’ve stayed at before. That said, still clean and well-maintained. The location is a big plus—central and with easy access to transport, restaurants, and sights. Overall, a good experience.

Stayed here for 4 nights. I'd give the room 2.5 stars, and the staff, location, and breakfast 5 stars. It's easy to get from the airport to the hotel with train (S7) and tram (71). The location is excellent. Everything is in walking distance. Public transportation, supermarket, pharmacy, pedestrian zone, coffee houses, restaurants, stores are nearby. Hotel staff was extremely kind and helpful. Not a single staff member was ever rude or impatient. Absolute plus of the hotel. Breakfast was amazing. But it gets busy. I had the impression that a lot of bus groups and business people frequent the hotel. My least favorite part was the room. For $1400, the room felt very basic, dark, dated, and impractical. Mattress was hard as a rock. Very little storage space. Walls had lots of marks and scratches. Bathroom was small and as a short or elderly person the tub was so high, it was hard to climb in. Thankfully, it was quiet at night.
