Fabulous choice for Tarrenz. Lovely hotel with a restaurant on site and a terrace. The staff are extremely friendly and the welcome pack provided upon arrival provides plenty of local information about not just Tarrenz but the entire region. The room was spacious and had a great view. Would recommend for a stay in Tarrenz.

Zum Lamm, A-6464 Tarrenz, tirol. Tel: 0043 5412 66023. www.hotel-lamm.at We were passing through the town and thought we'd try this one as it looked good from outside. We were given a choice of €80 for a double room only, €43 b&b, or €51 half board ("halbpension") with a set three course dinner. Hotel has sauna and steam room which we didn’t try.Free wifi in bar. Big terrace with comfy seating but unfortunately it faced the houses and not the mountain view. Does have a lift. Nice big room. Big window and glass door to gaze at the mountain from your room. Big wardrobe. Hooks for coats. Toilet separate from shower room. Good solid mattresses and pillows. Great reading light next to bed that can be positioned how you want it. Little traffic noise at back. Big garage for your bike and a power wash if you need it. Shared balcony outside your room with lovely views onto valley and mountain range. Had a walk around this upper end of the village. Seemed pretty quiet in the hotel and the area - June is 'out of season'. Did have a café/bar that did a good coffee. We sat outside as it was a bit smoky inside (a number of small cafes/bars in Austria seemed to have not bothered with the smoking ban). Handy Spar supermarket nearby. To give you an idea of prices 1 coke and beer in the bar was €5.60 whch seemed about average for this trip. We opted for half board as there wasn’t much open in the village and the hotel was offering a cheap set 3 course meal. Didn’t even ask us if we were vegetarian, just gave us chicken soup (we think), schnitzel in sauce with croquettes and veg, followed by ice cream. Nice enough and well worth the extra €6 each if you like what they give you. their English wasn't brilliant, but they were friendly.
