The gondola is one of the main symbols of Venice, as emblematic of the famous city of water as it is mysterious in its origins. Of course, the history of the gondola is deeply bound to the one of Venice.Considered one of the most beautiful and elegant boats on earth, the gondola is built using unique techniques and every single part of it also hides symbolic meanings. For example, its toothed bow iron has five or six rebbi (combs), which are each symbolic of the six sestieri (districts) into which Venice is divided. The function of this part made of iron is to balance the weight of the gondolier and it has an 'S' shape that evokes the flow of the Grand Canal.Let yourself experience in first person the gondola through this tour. - The gondola ride will also take place on rainy days. In the case of heavy rain, it might be cancelled and the tour will be refunded (or rescheduled for another day/time). Please note that no refund will be provided for no shows or late arrivals
- The duration of the activity is 25/30 minutes (including boarding and disembarking operations)
- Please note that it is a shared gondola (up to five people for each one) so you might have to share it with other people
- Assistance will be provided on board, while commentary during the tour is not included
