Bamboo rafting on Martha Brae River
Rafting down the Martha Brae River you'll be transported into a tropical paradise filled with mango trees, mangroves and palms. On this excursion, you'll be guided downriver in a bamboo raft to soak up this exotic landscape, just a short journey away from Montego Bay.Floating downstream in a one or two-seater raft, your guide will navigate these green waters to take you on a 75-minute journey through lush forest. You'll spot tropical plants and birds singing in the treetops as well as mangroves and palms swaying in the wind.What's more, you'll learn the stories and legends surrounding this historic route, including local myths about a secret cave. Perfect for nature lovers and those wanting complete peace and tranquillity.
- Recommended dress code: t-shirt, shorts and sneakers or watershoes
- Bring along your camera plus bathing suit, towel and watershoes - in case you'd like to swim in the river
- Maximum passengers per raft: two adults + one child (under nine years old). Extra adults need to book the single raft option
- This tour requires a minimum of six participants
- Not suitable for those with reduced mobility
- Children must be supervised by an adult (over 18 years) at all time
