River Cruises Collection: Walking Tour of Oberwesel
The quaint town of Oberwesel’s got major historic appeal, thanks to its scattering of Medieval leftovers. This excursion takes you on a guided stroll around the town, which is nestled among the hills of the UNESCO-rated Rhine Gorge. You’ll pace along the flagstones of the long-standing curtain walls, which come with views of the Ochsenturm – a defensive tower on the waterfront. Half-timbered houses, traditional bakeries and castle-like gates line the main cobbled square. The pick of the attractions is the Church of our Lady – it towers above the rest of the town, and its peach-tinted exterior stands out from the slate-grey rooftops that surround it.
