You'll feel like you're a million miles away from the beaches, as you head inland and discover the secrets of Almeria. Drive past rolling hills covered with vineyards to Cortijo el Cura and through the Sierra de Gádor to a typical village for a tapa tasting on this flavour-filled day out. Wander around the peaceful orchards and take a peek in the museum before tasting some of the wines and other local products. “Cortijo El Cura isn't about producing lots of wine, it's about doing things the way this land allows, not forcing it.” Lori adds.This scenic tour then continues through the Sierra de Gádor – a stunning backdrop for photos. You'll also learn all about little Spanish dishes known as tapas and enjoy a taste first-hand when you call in at a local village. “We say the best meals in Almería happen standing up, glass in hand,” says Lori. "Traditionally, you order a drink, and something good arrives with it. No menu needed.”
