Casa Cook Samos

Our experience at Casa Cook Samos was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail of the hotel had been thoughtfully designed. The architecture and overall layout create a calm, stylish atmosphere that immediately puts you in a holiday mood. The rooms are beautifully crafted — every material and piece of furniture feels carefully chosen, with real attention to detail. You can sense the care and time that went into creating such a refined space. The staff were incredible throughout our stay. Warm, attentive, and always ready to help — they made sure every part of our holiday felt special. A special mention must go to the breakfast: absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options that catered to every taste. It was one of the highlights of our mornings. Without a doubt, I will return. Casa Cook Samos isn’t just a hotel; it’s an experience.

The hotel is new, and clean with a great team welcoming you. Sea view room was lovely, spacious, and we happily received complimentary gifts due to our anniversary. Gazebo dinner experience was romantic and in general we did not have any negative impression other than mosquitoes. As a final remark, we must say that Despina Chatziroditi and her colleagues are very friendly, and they did their best at all times even prior to our arrival. P.S.: The airport is very closely located, but it did not disturb us at all.

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Casa Cook Samos in the second half of June 2025. The boutique hotel has a breathtaking architecture that exudes beauty, luxury, comfort and charm. In addition to the exceptional location, it also offers the best team of people who took care of us. For more than 20 years we have been visiting 1-2 five-star hotels every year, but we have never met such a pleasant and helpful staff. Perhaps only the Maldives Four Seasons are comparable. Thank you to everyone (with the exception of Vasil, who seemed very exhausted and this was reflected in his smile and effort) and especially thank you and greet: - Sara - Elias - Front office - Gianna - Beach bar - Rossmary - Beach lady - Tonny - Beach boy - Zoy - breakfast manager - Michaela - breakfast - Sofie - breakfast - Stefan - restaurant - Nefeti - restaurant - Electra - restaurant (greetings to the cat :-). We apologize to everyone we forgot!!! And now for the honest review - recommendations: - The rooms with a sea view (Beach House) are right above the beach and the beach bar, where club house music plays from morning till night, often with a live DJ. It's great, on the other hand, if someone is looking for peace, we recommend accommodation in the main part of the complex. - The food and drinks are excellent, at a very high level, which also correspond to the prices, which are 30-100% higher than in the town of Pythagorio. We would welcome a different solution for drinking water (for example, in the form of free barrels), because the hotel requires the consumption of drinks and meals only from the hotel and a 0.7 liter bottle of water costs 5,-Euro. We spent more than 500,-Euro just for water. It seems very unreliable. - The sea was cold 19-21 degrees (about 2 degrees below normal). Samos has one of the coldest seas in Greece. We didn't mind, there are 6 pools to use. - The hotel is next to the airport, you can hear its traffic, and in some wind you can exceptionally smell the exhaust fumes (really exceptionally). We didn't have a big problem with that. - We recommend water shoes and insect repellent I wanted to add more photos, but trip advisor reports some error, stupid program :-))

We liked the hotel in many ways but for us it does not quite live up to 5 stars. We’re overall satisfied and would consider Casa Cook again but at another destination. The hotel is quite new, it’s minimalistic and well designed. There is a beach side and a poolside with a small road in between. Most rooms are swim up rooms. We stayed a week in a swim up room and I would really recommend that. The room is nicely decorated and feel modern. It’s not very spacious either inside or outside. The highlight of the room was the bathroom, we really liked the separate toilet. Large and comfy bed and pillows. The staff is very friendly, polite and service minded. Some staff were new (we were there in the beginning of the season) and inexperienced, especially for breakfast and lunch, and did not live up to 5-star service. One morning we ordered from three different staff and still didn’t get what we ordered. The breakfast is good, you order eggs/omelettes a la carte and the rest is a buffet. There is a large selection of sweet stuff, pastries, cookies etc in the buffet. Some mornings were busy and by 9.30-10.00 we sometimes had to wait a bit for a table. The restaurant is also good but you want to try and see something else too. Some days at lunch it took a long time to get the food even though the restaurant was only half full. One day the food came out cold. You can order drinks and food to your sunbed on the beach and that is a better choice. Also the chairs in the restaurant must be the most uncomfortable in Greece… We had the Samos dinner the hotel arrange on Saturday nights. It was nice, especially with long tables with other guests, but the food itself was not worth 60 euros per person. Good to know: The hotel is just by the airport, just a fence in between. We knew this when we booked and we were not bothered so much about it but some days it was quite busy and they start flying early in the morning. If you wish to minimize the noise request a room closer to the beach. There are no restaurants close by. If you wish to eat somewhere else than the hotel you need to go Pythagorion (a 30 min walk or a 8-10 euro taxi ride). We recommend to go to Pythagorion for dinner (try Knife&Fork and Pergamonto). Very easy to get a taxi by the hotel or use the hotels car service. There is a small supermarket with the essentials just by the hotel. A lot of biting insects, mosquitoes maybe. We didn’t see them but were bitten quite bad. I saw several people with bites, I had at least 30 bites all over the body that were itching for days and had to visit the pharmacy. Some improvement suggestions: There is very loud music by the beach almost every day, some days with a DJ and then you could not talk to each other. We got tired of it and went to the pool instead. Samos is a quiet island, the beach area felt like Ibiza-wannabe. They also light a barbecue at lunch every Saturday which makes half the beach useless unless you want to be in the smoke. The AC in the room is not effective. It’s motion controlled so you have to be in the room with all doors/windows closed for it to work. We had it on the lowest 16 degrees all the time but never got under 24 degrees inside, not even in the middle of the night. We heard several guests complaining about it. There is no place outside to dry your wet stuff, it looks good but it’s not so practical. We missed a place to put our bags in the room, you had to place them on the floor. When you’re outside and close the door to the patio (which you have to for the AC to work) there is no handle on the outside and therefore very hard to open it. For three days there was a guy flying and filming constantly with a drone, on the beach, by the private pools etc. A little annoying and lack of privacy. We assumed he was hired by the hotel but when asking staff they knew nothing about it and didn’t think it was a problem. And since it’s so close to the airport I assumed drones were not allowed.

This hotel is very swanky and has many nice architectural features. We had a room beside the pool and it was excellent. Bar staff were terrific and people in reception were always helpful. The beach area is very accessible. It's easy to get a cab into the port at Pythogoria and back to enjoy the local vibe. The only downside for us was that they seemed understaffed at breakfast which slowed things down a lot..
