Just come back from a really great stay at 3HB Guarana. My wife is a wheelchair user and it was a great relief to find the hotel is extremely accessible. There are two ramps either side of the step from outside into the main reception. We had requested a room close to the lifts and main areas so we didnt have far to move about and we were greatful to get one on the same level as reception. Perfect. The room was a good size with a nice balcony. Air Conditioning worked perfectly and the extremely large bed was great. Bathroom was good, however, it is a step in bath/shower, which could be an issue for people with mobility issues, however was doable for my Wife. 4 lifts service the hotel, with reception on Zero and the pool and restaurants on -1. These could get busy and waiting for an empty one to fit a wheelchair in was at times annoying. The restaurants were great, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the main one, with snacks available at another. The restaurants had a designated disabled area which were tables closest to the buffet which I thought was a really nice touch. We used these as well as sitting outside throughout our stay. Food was a good selection each day. We definitely didnt go hungry. Access throughout the hotel was brilliant for my Wifes wheelchair, and the large pool had several different areas of shallows or steps/slope to get in, which made us feel like we didnt need to get the same sunbed each day and could move around. The walkways around the pool and restaurants we all covered, offering a lovely bit of shade when moving about the hotel. The kids play area and splash zone are up a hill from the main pool, main access via stairs. there was a long slope around the back that could be used to get up to the top, but we felt it wasnt quite as wheelchair friendly as the rest of the hotel, as it was paved with rubber square pads which we not flush with each other. The only real downside to the hotel on accessibility, but nothing can be perfect. There a lots of toilets and facilities around the hotel, but note the disabled toilets also double up as the baby change facilities, and most do not have a lock on the door, which could lead to some embarrassing moments. The staff were all superb, reception, restaurant, cleaning, and maintenance staff were always friendly and helpful. Big thanks to the maintenance staff member that helped fix my Wifes Wheelchair when we first arrived. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Really enjoyed our stay and we will be back at some point!

Just returned from a week all inclusive here, a great week was had. We went during half term week so expected it to be busy and it was although not chaotic busy. The hotel itself is spotless and clean and there's always plenty of helpful staff about, from bar/rest staff, to housekeeping, to reception and management clearly visible too. Didn't have to queue for anything and things were well run. Wifi was good as well. The pool areas were great and not too crowded, none of this get the sun loungers at 530 am malarkey either, plenty to go around. Lots of activities on offer too although our 2.5 year old was a little too young for most but she did enjoy the kiddies splash park and 2 x baby pools, which more than kept her entertained. The highlight for us was probably the food side of things, spoilt for choice and veggies in our party and all well catered for, other guests remarked on how good the food was too. Everything was tasty and fresh. Sagres and Super Bock on tap for lagers and choice of local wines & sangria - all great. Outside of the hotel there is a 500m walk down the road to Olhos de Água beach with a handful of bars, restaurants & shops on the way, a nice beach. Around the back of the hotel there is a wooden walk way with plenty of steps down to a different part of Olhos de Água beach (about 15mins on foot) which was nice and secluded. Our toddler managed the walk but it might have been challenge had we had a pram. We really enjoyed our time here. Would recommend & return for sure.

3HB thank you, thank you for the best time making the best memories at your outstanding hotel! Firstly check in, - very welcoming staff, professional & and quick. Straight up to room and it was gorgeous. Clean and plenty of room for what we needed- room 377. Overlooking the sea & pool to the side - air con worked very well and beds were very comfortable. Daily cleaning of the rooms & hotel are up to a very very high standard! Continuous cleaning throughout daily, hourly. The restaurant are cleaned to a very high standard, seconds before empty plates are taking away. All restaurant staff are very polite & friendly. Big shout out to Joao in the restaurant always had a smile on his face & made such an effort to chat with our girls always they loved him! The hotel grounds are beautiful, plenty of pools! The pools are cold but literally for about 1 minute- please don’t stress when you read pools are cold like I did! & took wetsuits 😂 definitely NOT needed. My girls spent nearly all day every day in the pool with breaks as it was over 30 degrees. The park the girls loved - we went most evenings when it was cooler. The drinks are fab, unlimited Ice pops at the pool bar were a firm favourite with my girls. They had around 5 a day! Food- plenty and all gorgeous & fresh. The salads were a hit. Mediterranean restaurant is a MUST and book the nights you want when you arrive- they are closed Wednesdays & Saturdays if I remember rightly. The food is OUTSTANDING Snack bar is fab after an evening of entertainment. Both girls loved a late night snack at 1030pm! Mini disco for the kids is fabulous so lovely seeing such happy faces. 8-830 pm and it’s outside which makes so much sense as still very warm in the evenings. THE CRaZY SHOW is a must & the white party on Sundays! Lovely walks to the beach that took around 15/20 minutes. Chemist a stone throw away ( which we needed) so that was handy. I recommend zoo marine such a wonderful day out and such good value worth the money I thought. An Uber from the hotel cost €12 and back was the same. Get there for opening and you can be there until 8. We are really sad to be home- I will continue to rave about the holiday. Thanks for having us 3HB G! The Robinsons x
