This hotel is a gem. It is not a conventional hotel with corridors and lifts but blocks of four rooms spread amongst stunning gardens. This is an adult only hotel and the gardens and layout are beautiful. Our room was well thought out and very well presented. There is something for everyone. Quiet areas, poolside areas and beach areas. All are maintained to a high standard. There is a comprehensive daily entertainment program. Fitness, dance, yoga and Pilates classes are run alongside Boccia, darts, crazy golf and water polo. Sam, Omer and the team are dedicated and great fun to be around. For me, it is the staff that bring the magic to the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of the team. Then there is Sibel, I don’t think that this wonderful lady ever sleeps. Sibel is the TUI guide and is always on hand to help with a smile and good nature. All in all, a wonderful place to holiday. I can’t wait to return!

I booked this as a last minute getaway (3 days before travel!) and stayed here with my husband from 7th to 14th May. For a four star hotel, this is a lovely place to stay and great value for money. Due to the lateness of it, I didn't have a lot of time to research or have high expectations for it, but we had a great time! TRANSFER: The Tui coach transfer from Izmir Airport was about an hour going to the hotel and 40 minutes going back. It's a really scenic drive over the mountains. We couldn't get a private transfer like we usually do (probably because of the late booking) but the included coach transfer was really quick and organised and I don't think it would have been worth paying the extra ££ for a private one for this particular hotel and location. Stick with the Tui one and save yourself some money! CHECK IN: was really quick and we were given a cold flannel and a refreshing drink whist we were given our room key and told about the facilities etc. RECEPTION AREA/SHOP: The reception area is really nice and has a fridge where you can help yourself to sandwiches and muffins and milk, as well as cold juice and coffee at any time day or night. The whole resort has had a Tui Blue makeover and you can see where it has been modernised throughout. It has still retained some of its original Turkish charm. There is a small shop on site that sells essentials like toiletries and also souvenirs and pool floaties. It's not very big but there are other shops just outside of the hotel if you go out onto the main road. WIFI: This is excellent and reaches all over the resort, even on the beach. It's strong enough to stream shows on Netflix etc. This is useful as there aren't any English TV channels in the room apart from the news. This doesn't bother us but it's worth noting if you like to have the TV on in the evening or when getting ready. ROOM: We stayed in room 209 which was a ground floor with private pool. You get a minibar which is stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks which are free for the first lot and you can get more at an additional cost. Bottled water is also provided free of charge. You get a TV with a range of channels and a hotel page which tells you what activities are taking place throughout the day and other hotel information. The bed was large and comfortable, I asked at reception for smaller pillows as the ones provided were too deep for me and they delivered them within the hour. Their customer service is brilliant, just ask and they will do everything they can to accommodate you! The bathroom had a good size shower and sink/toilet area. There was lots of space for our clothes, including a walk in storage area with hanging space and drawers and a safe which is free to use. I can highly recommend booking a private pool villa as you get your own outdoor space with 2 sun loungers a table and 2 chairs, a large private pool and even a net scoop to keep it clean. This was done a few times a day by the groundskeeping staff who work hard all day to keep the gardens and pool areas clean and tidy. It was so lovely to look out from our own private area which was surrounded by orange tress and it was really quiet and peaceful. POOLS: We tended to stay around the swim up bar - 'Relax Pool' as again it was such a lovely, serene area. You can get in the pool to get a drink or walk to the bar if you didn't want to get wet. We only sat around the main pool once, mainly because we preferred the ambience of the swim up bar, but also because all the loungers were taken up by 9am. I refuse to get up mega early to play the sun lounger game but they sometimes became free later in the afternoon so we did sit there once. With it being early in the season, the water was quite refreshing but I imagine that this will be a welcome relief later in the season as the temperatures rise. It was in the mid 20s in early May which was still vey pleasant and we did get good suntans. BEACH: The beach is lovely but bring some sea shoes as its quite gravelly. The sunbeds are comfortable and there are parasols and tables you can use. The bar is only a few steps away so you can quickly grab a drink. FOOD AND DRINKS: We are real foodies and have travelled a lot so we do have a lot to compare the food here to. In one word, the buffet was excellent. The different choices and standard of food every day was really surprising. We never had a bad meal once and even though there is only main restaurant, it never got repetitive. The desserts and 6x choices of ice cream flavours were amazing. We went to the al a carte restaurant - The Culinarium for a four course meal which was lovely. For mains, I had the beef and my husband had the lamb and both were delicious and cooked to perfection. There is also a snack bar which is open from 12:30 to 16:30 every day serving burgers, kebabs and cakes etc. For drinks, there is a bar in between the main pool and the beach, one at the swim up bar, one in the snack bar and one above the restaurant called "The Bar" which is open in the evening. It was lovely to sit outside here on an evening, overlooking the sea and enjoying a cocktail or beer. The beer is Efes and the selection is good, especially the cocktails. You can get fizzy wine on the all inclusive as well which is a bonus as sometimes its chargeable. I really liked that wherever you are on the property, you're not far away from a bar so you can easily grab drinks to sit outside your room or in one of the swinging chairs that are scattered around the property. LOCAL AREA: There is not much around the hotel apart from a few shops that are mini supermarket type places. We did go to the shop 40m up from the hotel on the same road to get some ice lollies and a few beers for our fridge as both were extremely cheap. We also walked along the beach and had a few drinks at a local bar called Hashtag which was about 20 minutes away if you turn left at the hotel beach entrance. It was a nice walk early evening and a lovely place to have a few beers and watch the sun go down. There are also beach bars to the right as well although we didn't venture that way so I can't comment. STAFF AND SERVICE: The standout thing about this hotel is the wonderful staff and service provided by everyone who works there. The waiting and bar staff are so attentive and really go out of their way to make your stay special. The cleaning and groundskeeping staff were also friendly and would always smile and speak to you. The Tui Blue Experience Manager Sibel was also lovely and really helpful. We loved chatting to her and her lovely cockapoo, Lucky, we also have a poodle cross who were missing so Lucky was a great addition to our holiday! We booked a boat trip through the Tui rep who visited the hotel almost every day. You will get a message on the Tui app, telling you which days and times she will be there. The boat trip was really good and a nice day out with 4 dive stops and lunch etc. TIPS: Download the Tui and the Tui Blue app before you go. You can load your booking onto them and get hotel information and send messages/requests to reception. Take some sea shoes for the beach. Go on a trip to see more of beautiful Turkey. We liked the boat trip but there were other more cultural trips to UNESCO listed historical sites and to Greece. Take a mixture of Euros and Turkish Lira as it varied from place to place on which currency they took. Bring a floatie for the pools, especially if you have a private pool as the on site shop was selling them for almost 20 Euros. Take a sandwich from the fridge in reception for your journey home as the Izmir Airport prices for food and drinks are extortionate. Book the Culinarium on the app for a lovely meal overlooking the sea. Book a room with a private pool, its well worth the extra money. CONCLUSION: We booked this trip to overcome a busy stressful time and it did exactly what we needed it to do - relaxed us and gave us a much needed break. If you're wanting a full on, adventure filled holiday then this isn't the place for you. If you are wanting an adult only, slow-paced, value for money relaxing holiday with great food and service, then don't hesitate and book Angora Beach today! Thank you for a wonderful time, we will be back one day.

I can't recommend this place enough for a relaxing holiday. Firstly the service was absolutely fantastic, quick and friendly always with a smile. A special shout out to Ferhat, Abdulkadir, Yasin and Sahin, from the bar, the pool bar and cullinarium who all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Location is fantastic for relaxation, and booking excursions is very easy if you want to get out for the day. Food and drink is always available with lots of clearly labelled options for Vegans and Vegitarians. A friendly atmosphere with brilliant facilities, great value for money. 5 stars.
