Worth it
The staff are some of the nicest people I have ever met. My camera roll is filled with beautiful pictures from hotel views, and the live Dj at the main pool created the perfect vibe. I will definitely want to return and do recommend.

Second time at Hyde Ibiza and it’s incredible! The staff are super attentive and always ready to help from check-in to check-out. The hotel itself is very well designed with fantastic view to Cala Llonga, the rooms are very good and the private access to beach is also very good. I will certainly stay at this hotel whenever I go to Ibiza. I recommend it 100%.
Hyde Ibiza seemed promising. But did not meet expectations. Friendly staff, not a bad word about them. They do what they can. But there is a lot more potential! The elevators in the whole building were working on and off during our 6 day visit. It does not feel safe if that happens nearly everyday. 3 pools, but… The main pool is very pretty, but shared with the hotel next door. So only 50% of the beds is available for Hyde residents. Of that 50%, another 50% is reserved for day pass visitors. So if you are not at the pool before 9 (although technically it doesn’t open before 10), you have zero chance for a Bali bed at the main pool. No worries, there are 2 other pools available. But the bungalow pool really needs maintenance. Loose tiles, mold, a sewage smell (as I can read in other reviews before). Pool does not feel welcoming as most shade covers for the Bali beds are broken. Beds are stained and all over the place. The wet deck pool looks better, but the beds there are also stained. For a 4* hotel I expect that the pool areas are taken care of every day before or after closing time. But they are not. Beds all over the place, looks very messy, parasols still up,… The breakfast is okay but not great. Eggs station serves cold eggs, fresh fruit station can not hold up with the slicing. Fresh meat, cheese, bread and sheets are good though. No service at the table, self service for your coffee. Very busy in the morning as this is a big hotel. Roomservice pizza and poolside drinks were good! The rooms are pretty and convenient. But… You can hear everything from the hallway. Every guest that arrives to, or leaves it’s room on the same floor, you hear. We even heard the footsteps from the room above us. This is Ibiza…people come and go all day ánd night. This was not pleasant at all. The hall is lighted with very bright lights. Under the door was a big gap, so we used a towel every night to cover up the bright light comming from the hall. Phone did not work in the room, poolside towels were taken without change to clean ones (or towel Card). Room was not very clean, dust next to bedside tables,… Cala llonga is a pretty bay and located ideally to discover the island. Very calm and provided with everything you need. But I would not recommend Hyde hotel. There is a lot of unused potential. Fix the things mentioned above to be a 4* hotel. For now, not worth it!

Everything that went wrong during our stay was explainable, no one was really at fault, it's just a reflection of an overall low quality hotel. For the price they ask, i expect higher quality. It started with the hallway to our (my girlfriend and me) room being flooded, and the water seemed to come from the room we booked. When we opened the door, there was indeed water coming from our bathroom where it shouldn't. A pipe might have burst, it happens, we went back to the lobby and were given a new room. Upon entering our new room, we noticed they gave us a smaller room, so again we went back and asked for the room type that we booked, and after a little while we were given our 3rd room which was what we booked orginally. I'll not descibe in detail everything that went wrong, but over the next 4 days the following things occured: - cleaned the room but left no towels - cleaned the room and left a dirty washcloth on our clothes (see picture) - cleaned the room but left no trashcan - cleaned the room but left the dirty dishes (twice) - did not clean the room at all and when we called at 19:00 we were told "it's a bit too late now, is it ok if we do it tomorrow" (no it wasn't, and they came anyway) - pool sign says it's open until 20:00 but there was no one to take our borrowed towels back (apparently the towel desk closes at 19:00). - the main pool advertised only has a few beds you can use without having to pay 120 euros in minimal spending on drinks and food. There are 2 other pools that are 'free'. I feel this is a bit of false advertisement as Hyde hotel promotes the beach club area (where the main pool is) as 'free for guests' and their website. We were given a free drinks voucher for 2 drinks for our troubles (which was kind) but when we selected our drinks we were told this was only valid for the 'welcome drink'. When we went over to the front desk on wednesday to inform (not complain!) but inform them about all these small things that kept us occupied on a daily basis with the front desk, we told them we understand it's not one person's fault but that its tiresome to constantly be chasing the hotel for basic service requests. We're here to unwind and relax, not to chase hotel management to provide fundamental service. The front desk apologised and told us they would make sure it would not happen again! .....a day later we put on the request notice for ' fresh' linnen on the bed and when we came to our room the linnen had clear and visible stains on them (see picture). Again, we went to the front desk and again they apologised and changed the linnen. As I said, there is not one person that made our stay unpleasant or was rude, or unhelpful. All these small issues are reflections of a low-quality hotel with low quality standards for the service they provide. But they do charge a premium and that is not acceptable for what they give in return. Find a better hotel for your money.
We stayed at Hyde for four nights last week and we had a good time. However, would I return? Not so sure. The hotel is really good at some things, but frustratingly poor on other things....particularly for the price we paid. Starting with the good stuff - location is wonderful, staff on reception were helpful and lovely, we always got a breakfast table outside and the staff there was great (and it was super busy), our Platinum sea view suite was perfect for our needs (originally for three people) and it was quiet - I'm a light sleeper, so really appreciated the hotel placing us on the top floor. Whether you enjoy the loud music by the main pool is personal. Getting taxis was super easy - the reception staff would call and you'd have one within 2 mins. However, the hotel could be so much better and here are my suggestions: * ensure that breakfast items are topped up frequently (no muesli two days in a row, no pancakes one day, and whilst they say it's served till 11, if you get there after 10.15, the items on offer are not as plentiful). Please also note that whilst the buffet is fairly wide ranging, the food looks absolutely nothing like it does on the website. * we had mentioned we were there to celebrate our anniversary. A kind congratulations was offered upon check in, but nothing else. Now, of course you shouldn't expect anything, but this is the first hotel I've stayed in that hasn't offered a goodwill gesture of a bowl of fruit / bottle of cava / cake - not necessary, but it's that kind of gesture that makes a guest feel special and makes you want to return * we had booked our suite for 3 people, but unfortunately only 2 of us could travel. Good job as housekeeping had not set up the sofa bed for us and had there were only towels, water, glasses etc for 3 people. When I asked for more water, it was provided promptly. I did enquire as to whether they could modify the price accordingly, but was told they were unable to do so as we had booked via booking.com. Seemed a bit mean, but I understood. Again, hotels that you remember and recommend go the extra mile to deliver customer satisfaction. * I would encourage check in staff to share more information about the hotel - the sunbed situation is confusing. Once you've exchanged your tokens for towels by the main pool near the bar area, you can only use some loungers for free. If you ask, you may be given different guidance (as we did from two staff members) - the truth is that if you want to sit on the stripey beds in the main pool area or some (but not all) Bali beds, you need to pay either 100euros (usable against what you buy) or 80 euros per person - no idea which was the real price as I was adamant that if we were already paying over 450 euros a night to stay here, it was outrageous to be charged to sit by the pool! Note that you can use the Bali beds and other loungers by the Bungalow pool for free, and the ones on a L shape facing you if you're at the towel station by the main pool. Get there by 8.30am though - in peak season, I can imagine it can be tricky to secure a bed. At check in, I think staff could also share more about what is going on around the hotel e.g. yoga and painting. All in all, we had a good time and had we only paid for a king room, I'm sure it would have felt better value. Just note that it's a large hotel and as such, you are one of hundreds of fellow guests. Consequently expect decent treatment, but nothing particularly memorable or special. For that, I think you need to choose a boutique hotel.
