Benilux Park Hotel

Katie flew out from the UK alone and needed a safe relaxing stay while she waited for me to arrive by motorcycle days later. When I arrived she was very happy with the hotel and all the staff. I have to thank Miguel on reception as when I met him on arrival he made a weary traveler feel welcome and he helped Katie with an airport transfer. Alfredo was also very helpful with the security of my motorcycle. The hotel was as good as expected and housekeeping do a great job. Miguel is a great ambassador for Mercure hotels and we will return later in the year

Hotel was beautiful and clean and staff were friendly. Excellent location to the old town without being in the middle of it all, only 15 min walk. We were half board and the food was excellent with good choice including a chefs option. I would recommend to anyone.

I have stayed at a lot of Benidorms 4 star hotels and this is by far the best. The feel, design and flow is great. The room I had benefit from a good sized balcony. It was a short walk to the beach, and all the staff were great and helpful to recommend. Live music by the pool Saturday and a DJ Friday night. One minor point, see the tips.

Lovely hotel in a great location. 10 minute walk to the old town and 25 minute walk to the strip. Pool area was a lovely oasis with plenty of sunbeds. Stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Rooms are open plan with a door into the shower and another door to the toilet so not much privacy if you want it. Only small problem with the room was not having any drawers other than that would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

This is the second time I visited this hotel. I was in a standard room this time and although it had everything you needed, it definitely didn't live up to the standard of my last visit when we stayed in a deluxe room. We checked in at 2am and realised they had given us a double room when we had requested a twin. I went back to reception and was assured that they would move us the next morning as there were twin rooms checking out. After breakfast I went back to reception who told us we could not move into a twin as they had other people arriving that day who had booked twin rooms. They said they could offer us "Germany beds" meaning we would shared the double bed but have separate sheets. Even though we asked for this it never happened! On the third day of our stay I had an online business meeting to attend and I asked if I could book the meeting room they have. I was told this was not possible for just one person, only for groups. I offered to pay to use the room but was told they would have to check and they would phone my bedroom before the time of my meeting to let me know. They never rang so I had to ask my cousin to leave the room for 3 hours because it was a confidential meeting. I was disappointed that they couldn't accommodate my request when I offered to pay for the meeting room as it wasn't being used. Other than this our stay was great. It was still early before the main season and this meant that there weren't many bar staff during the day. All you needed was a little patience and human decency but some other visitors got quite annoyed at the slow service. This is a mixed review but I have still given the hotel 4 stars because in general it really deserves it. Just a little disappointed with some of the personal challenges we faced.
